I called up rock valley the other day to get information on their tanks and tpi kits. What I was wondering was has anyone purchased one of rock valleys tanks or kits from them? They said the tpi kits were $295 with $100 for installation but I think I can just install it myself. if I bought a whole tank I was told it would be about $850 to $950 since they didnt have a model of my tank (52 studebaker truck, go figure lol). Well I appreciate any and all feedback and help.

Wistude. I called them last winter for a tank for my 34 chevy with TPI. They shot me a price of $600 for the tank and $280 for the TPI kit.
I finally went to a local shop and had on made for $600 and went with a outside tank pump.

You might try Tanks Inc. out of Clearwater MN 320-558-6882 Think they have a web site, but can't remember it off hand.

Again you all are probably sick of me reccomending a PolyPropeline (plastic) tank, but BoatUS marine tanks are the way to go, hands down.

Head on down to your local BoatUS store with measurements and they'll have what your after. The tanks are durable (never cracked dented or busted in over 5 years and is guaranteed to never) and real reasonable as far as price. 5 years ago I got a 22 gal. setup and it didn't fail me the whole time I owned the hot rod.

Shouldn't have no more then 4 to $500 tied up in the whole setup!

Try cutting the stock Bayonet mount out of a GM tank, it includes pump, sending unit, and check valves, filter retun line. did it on my rod. works fine. get someone to weld it into a steel tank

I purchased the TANKS poly tank for my '34. AS you have found out, they seem to want gold to provide a TPI pump install kit. So, I took the GM pump and shortend it, made a stainless bowl to control fuel slosh during turns or acceloration. It works just fine & was only the cost of the GM pump & some time & head scratching.
For my '40 pickup the plan is to either buy another Tanks poly or just modify the nice original '40 steel tank. It has been cleaned at a readiator shop so is safe for welding. I'll pick up up a bone yard EFI tank & f. pump. Cut out the GM gas ring from the GM tank and install into the Ford tank. There is the possibliity too of using an external pump... simpler & easier, but those in the know say the GM internal pumps are better.

I bought a nice aluminum tank and mounted it between the frame rails of my 63 F-100 from No Limit Engineering out of California. They have a web site if you are interested. www.nolimit.net/catalog.htm I paid about $395 for a 17 gal.
