Rockie/wayne, fantastic add to this post. Beer tours are the absolute best. I had a couple relatives that worked at Molsons up in Barrie, Ontario. Tours were also great. Like Labatt's, free booze after work too. Now they call this fringe benefits when factory workers get a free company T-shirt. Who are they fooling???
Last Nov. my son and I flew to Amagasaki and on the plane (11 hours) from BC. to Japan I saw asian's drinking Osaka beer and immediately tried one to get over the 17 hour jet lag, honest. Looking closer at the can (on my first beer), it said brewed by Molson's. What a hoot, go to Japan to drink Canadian beer, all week long!
PS. - I also collect, made in Canada cars, BEAUMONT's to be exact. The 57 CHEV. of the 60's. Best collector car ever, factory hybrid Chevelle, made by Pontiac!

Like Mike(47 Convert) Windsor Ont. Now in London, HOME OF LABATT"S BLUE Eh! Labatt's has a room called "The AMBER LOUNGE" where if you want a beer you reach into the line running by and snatch a cold blue. No sense in letting it go stale! GOOOOOO WINGS. That's what happens when you're born in a border town.

Yes Liz, I am planning on going. I will not Wussie out like some people!! LOL
Got an e-mail from Dave Wager (blksheep) here, who's around sometimes, but kind of a lurker. He just finished his black T w/flames, 327, 3 dueces, wide whites with red steelies. Right up your alley!! He has mentioned to me his buddy, John King, and John's new rod shop. John has offered to not only give us the grand tour but since he's single and has a couple of extra rooms at his place, has offered to let us crash there!! What a guy!! They are south of Charlotte I believe and are looking forward to our arrival. LOL Little do they know! (wink, wink) Have not confirmed anything with them till we sat down and dicussed, which I thought would be next weekend! WUSSIE!! LOL The area around there is just awesome so I do believe we should try to fit it into our schedule. :)

Merc- at least at election time, we can make up our mind who won!
Denise, I knew that "Wussie"comment would come back to haunt - taunt me. Tell your friend we're coming -wherever he lives. Just call me "Have Map - Will Travel" and does he have T-Shirts?

I'm still looking for a run/show that weekend...nothing yet. We do have Atlanta Rod Shop about 4-5 miles from the store here..Jerry Burge owns the place he's in Doraville @770-734-9829. Carlos was going to move his shop sometime soon..not too far maybe 1/2 mile or so BUT that is REAL CLOSE to the drag strip and the outlet mall.( I know that's why you drag the trailer) :)

OOOOOOOOOOhhhhhh you said that swear word "mall". If I wanted to go shopping I would go to Walmart across the street from where I work and it would have to be Christmas or a pending owing Birthday gift. Believe me, I travelled before the trailer with hockey dufflebag velcroed to the roof snaps,2 girls,2 sleeping bags, pillow, rain suit, leather jackets, the whole 9 yards. The trailer is strictly for holding free T-shirts or other comp goodies plus parts as they fall off the car. Uh. Mall. I may be a girl. But I'm a CAR GIRL. There's a difference. (BTW the trailer bounces so much I cant carry brew, so Barbs truck is loaded). Is Atlanta Rod Shop different than Carlos at Atlanta Street Rods? I dont think we're all that keen on doing the big city getting lost deal. Prefer smaller shops, more time, more hospitable, more US. But keep looking pleeze.

Just post on the DSRA site and I can pick it up there. Atlanta Rod Shop and Atlanta Street Rods are two different shops, the two are about 35 miles apart. Also in the area of Carlos' shop is the Panoz factory. They have a driving school and track test at Road Atlanta (that could be a really neat tour!)

Those Banzai runs up to Windsor from Boston were a hoot.
Up at the crack of dawn, Drive all day (13+ hours) , party all night, up at the crack of dawn, drive all day (13+ hours again) back home. ....all for a bowl of chili and a box of 50.
e-mail me his address and phone number, wouldja?

Yep,Purp, that's exactly how it works. However you have to take the tour FIRST( Damn they thought of everything. Although it's a spur line off the mainline, it still serves up nice cold, and I might add FRESH Blue, no sense in waiting for it to age(at least that's the way I look at it)A couple of the other guys mentioned coming in for a D.S.R.A. planning meeting. Because I'm a member of D.S.R.A., I would be more than happy to set up a tour, but it would be better if you scheduled it to coincide with my club's(O.O.F.C.C.) rod run and camp-in on August 16,17,18.Check out the show on www.cruisinshow.com , under "Show Schedule" "Ontario" "Aug1 to 19". It's a good 3 dayer. rod run, dance Sat. night, show on Sun, and all with camping right on the site.
Let me know, Rochie
