My dad's first car was a 1939 chevy 2dr sedan. We are trying to locate him a project streetrod. He helped me alot on the 34 sedan and really wants to try his own. If anyone knows were a 1939 coupe or 2dr sedan is for a good price or another prospect for a streetrod let me know. Thanks for any help! Would like car to be fairly close to North Carolina.

Tell me about it! We get two weekends off per month and it seems like the car shows are always on the other weekends. How fun for both of us but not to much!

Adam! Check this out! Sounds like the guy is "done" with it. Maybe a 2-3K car and a trailer trip to Chicago? I'd be willing to bet if you guys can make a deal that somebody on this site can one way it for you to the nats in Indy! http://www.streetrodding.com/details.cfm?type=sellCar&id=4050&userID=arpy&MemberID=3423

Am I all screwed up or was that last weekend? If it's this weekend I can't get there. I've got a little tree/roof problem going on. Isn't the Marietta auto fair going on this weekend?

Ray Schuler, the owner of that '39 Chevy, is a member here (arpy) but I don't think he visits anymore. The pic above is the car he usually drives. He could probably be talked into dragging it down to Indy. I've seen him down there in the past, anyway.

The '39 Chevy? No. But Ray is easy to get a hold of and more than willing to talk. Ray didn't build the Minotti, another member here did but it does look like he likes the yellow with red wheels look.

Is his part time job being "Ronald McDonald"?

Put the arches on the side, Ronald in the drivers seat, and you got an instant hit at the Nats!
