Oh thats great. I'm supposed to hunt they down now. Can't you supply them with name tags or something subtle like matching bbcaps or something? How am I supposed to hunt them down in a crowd of 50,000 normal people, and 1000 rodder type people?? I can't even find one in Winnipeg, never mind finding one in Detroit.

Liz, ALMOST all the guys coming from Toronto are single except for the nicest, most handsome, which would be Big Al! Neither him, Kenny or Norm have informed me when they're arriving.

Friday nite, after the show, we'll go out with the boys from Boston, Parker told me to pick the nicest, most expensive place, it's on him, six guys and you and me! Can you handle it!!! Then on Sat they are headed to the Henry Ford Museum. If I have to go there one more time, I'll scream!! I'll head back to Cobo. Sat nite I'm NOT going to the banquet cuz I've just got too many buds coming in. Will probley take everyone to Greektown for dinner on Sat nite on the tram. Sunday morning Parker is brining the guys to the house to check out Big Olds then they'll head to the airport and I'll head back to Cobo.

You staying downtown or at my place? Got plenty of room, you know that. When are you coming in? Leaving? I'll do the airport run, no problem. I'm so excited your coming!!!! Can you talk Babs and Kathy into coming too???? Detroit is not going to know what hit 'em. :))))

We have the optional Hand Cuffs, as well as Thumb Cuffs, both come in a variety of spring easter colours to choose from. Also Tie Wraps work really well on holding a man, if all else fails, or try feeding him many many many beers, that'll at least keep him near your kooler at all times. I'm in on this Denise - wow a real live breathing man. Cant wait.

Glad you finally decided to post instead of just lurk. I'll take this opportunity to welcome you here. Glad you finally found your way. There's alot of great rodders here, you'll enjoy yourself.

If Normie Poo comes, we're going to have to give you a nickname for the weekend. Can't be two Normie Poos running around Cobo. Could get alittle confusing, especially for those that are consuming! LOL See ya soon :)

I'll ask Kenny (trz) for nickname advice. I'm sure between us, we can come up with something suitable. LOL Did he ever show you the photos I sent him from the Woodward Dream Cruz? If not, I'll bring them with me to Cobo.

Everybody thinks they got the right solution?
Don't I get a say in this! First of all, cuffs are cool but I'm not into PAIN, beer is a good idea but I lost my caffiter...(I hate when that happens)
How about a Pro Street wheelchair with a small block chev,
with stall conv. blown would be nice, in place of a I.V.
bottle you can use a real COOL looki'n polished moon tank
full of RYE and diet pepsi with a splash of N.O.S.
In the event that I get a little restless, just loosen the
staps on my straight jacket and get me out of my 5pt.
harness( now that's "KINKY" )
Blindfolds and visers are neat but I think I will already have a problem trying to see.
But with a little help from my friends, I think I'll manage

As for consumption, Denise your telling lies again. What, who? Me Drink? Hah. BTW its 35 below zero here today, enough to freeze those things on the Dipstick Mascot.

Don't fret, everyone will still be there on Sat, with the exception of George, but maybe we can talk him into coming back on Sunday morning to my place for coffee, donuts, Big Olds intro, and to take that special tour at Lear that we discussed.

Ok, I guess this is as good as time as any to discuss what I've set up for Sunday morning for any/all of my car buds that will be in town that weekend. My very good buddy Ralph works for Lear Corp. He's in charge of all the crash test dummy stuff for the major automakers. They crash test seats, dashes, airbags, etc. He is eagerly going to give us a private, behind the scenes, tour of the place on Sunday morning, Feb 24th. I've been before, very, very cool and interesting place. Tentatively meeting at my place around 9am and will cruz to Lear about 10am. Trying to make sure that those that have to be back at the airport on Sunday can still attend the tour and get to their planes on time and those that want to go back to Cobo will still have enough time to walk the show again. Lear is about 5 miles from my place and it's about 12 miles to the airport from there. Let me know if you think you might want to join us. :)

Yes, I plan on attending the show in London probley on that Sunday.

FYI: for those that will be crossing the boarder either to get to Cobo and back or if your an out of town American and want to experience the adult nite life in Windsor you will need not only a drivers license but a birth cert or passport. That is what they are saying on the radio that you still need to cross or get back.

To all the guys out there, be very careful over the coming rodding season. There seems to be a new drug on the market used by women on unsuspecting men across the country. Please read the following excerpt from the London Free press. >
> > > > I'm sure you know a few guys you might want to warn.
> > > >
> > > > Police warn all clubbers, party-goers and unsuspecting pub regulars
to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman. A new
date rape drug on the market called "beer" is used by many females to target
unsuspecting men. The drug is generally found in liquid form and is
now available almost anywhere. "Beer" is used by female sexual predators
at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and have
sex with them.
> > > >
Typically, a woman needs only to persuade a guy to consume a few
units of "beer" and then simply ask him home for no-strings-attached sex.
Men
are rendered helpless against this approach. After several "beers" men
will often succumb to desires to perform sexual acts on horrific looking
women to whom they would never normally be attracted. After drinking "beer"
men often awaken with only hazy memories of exactly what happened to
them the night before, often with just a vague feeling that something bad
occurred.
> > > >
> > > > At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their
life's savings in a familiar scam known as "a relationship." Apparently,
men are much more susceptible to this scam after "beer" is administered and
sex is offered by the predatory female.
> > > >
Please! Forward this warning to every male you know. However, if you
fall victim to this insidious "beer" and the predatory women
administering it, there are male support groups with venues in every town
where you
can discuss the details of your shocking encounter in an open and frank
manner with similarly affected, like minded guys.

I thought a few of you would get a kick out of this.

I guess there's 22 cars that want to be consider for the Riddler Award this year. The powers that be will select 8 out of those. Those will be actual Riddler contenders and one winner will be selected from those.

As of right now it's in the plans to be there. Last year I was laid off at that time and had a place to stay while I was there. This year will be a whole new ball game. I'm doing my best to get my ducks in a row. The easiest way to spot me is look for a KOA event T-shirt. They make up half my wardrobe. I'm usually hanging around the kustoms to. When all else fails look for John Dagostino's car. I'll be around there a few times during the day on Saturday.

I'm not ignoring you...............have to make money you know. And yes, everyone is over 20. More like over 40.
Denise,
Thanks for the compliment but you are definitely overstating the case. I look more like 5 miles of bad Canadian road after a 6 month winter.
Looking forward to seeing you two...............

No, Kenny Holmes is not an ISCA judge. He was, however, chairman of the 2001 Canats held in Hamilton.

You must be referring to the wrong 'AL'. My picture is not on the SRS profile pages.

I've seen very few beards that I actually liked. When I was in Vegas for Sema - I did notice many guys with really sharply trimmed beards,- they looked really good - like silver foxes somewhat.Over here, I haven't noticed any and the few beards that I saw were horrendous unkempt messes.

I appreciate the offer. Amie knows about the past and I think at a later date after she meets you would probably not have a problem with it. BUT, as she doesn't know you yet I'll pass. I want her to be as comfortable as possible. She's done the car show thing before, but not like we do it. Believe it or not theres people out there who don't understand taking vacation days and driving 8 hours to just go look at some "old" cars. Their loss. I'm sure once she gets use to the schedule she'll be as hyped up about it as I am. Any gal who can talk about the hours she's spent color sanding is one who is worth investing time in.

LOL Over the weekend I'll have alittle more time to makes plans for the Autorama weekend such as times and places to meet depending on who's arriving on what days. Since everyone is asking when and where and stuff like that I'd thought it might be easier to post meeting times and places. I think the easiest place to find might be George Barris's new creation (two-tone purple). Will probley have a 20x20 foot stand alone display on a main isle. Should be real easy to find. If you walk in the front doors, most of the large, Kustoms displays such as this, usually are on the left. John A's will probley be around there also. Since Al will be hanging around there, this might be the easiest for everyone to find.

To give everyone time thats flying in, lets say Friday night, 6pm by the George Barris Designed creation.

Sat. 12 noon, the same spot and back there at 6pm incase someone didnt make it into town by noon.

If anyone wants to plan a Sunday meeting at COBO, just post it. I'm going back there after the Lear tour and hopefully can drag a few others that arent heading home.

Just to give those that are attending a headsup, here's the "tentative" plans for "afterhours"

Friday night, late supper and drinks across the street at the host hotel, Ponchantrain. Walk in the front doors on Jefferson and the bar/rest is on the right.

Sat night, taking the tram from the 3rd? floor of COBO to Greektown for dinner and drinks. Great view of the Detroit River and Windsor from the tram. Heading to Nikki's for dinner, it's directly across the street from the "brinktown" stop on the tram. Very large resturant that can accomadate large groups. Greektown Casino is located on the opposite corner from here for anyone who cares to gamble.

Sunday morning, my place for coffee and donuts at 9am, leaving for Lear at 10am. I'll have maps with me on Fri and Sat for those that havent been to my place before.

Liz will be hanging around Total Performance's booth, so she might be easy to find at other times. I'll probley be at the different paint manufacturer's booths. LOL Those that don't have my cell number, e-mail me and I'll send it to you. With the exception of getting arrested, call me if you have any problems or need assistance. :)

Have I forgotten to touch base on anything? Really looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend!!

Denise, are you sure in a past life or something you weren't a cruise director. Hell I think you've got half the Mid-west meeting at Cobo. Way to go girl. I'm not sure when we will show up, but we will be looking for you. I need a hug it's been a long winter. The car's been put away since the middle of October and I think it's almost time for a BUSTOUT. See you next weekend either Fri. or Sat.

I was a cowboy in a past life, and I had the fastest horse in the West! I think I was a Pony Express rider, hence my love of travel and high speeds for long periods of time.

Anyway, I thought times for din-din on both Friday and Sat nights could be decided at the 6pm meeting.

Wayne, definately looking forward to getting one (or many) of your great hugs. You going to spend the night in town on Sat night so you can come over on Sunday? I hope so. :)
