Hey all,

We've received a couple of emails for members asking about problems with the site being slow and/or down. We have noticed the problem as well and are contacting our hosting company about it.

The problem is that we share our server with several other websites, so if they do something to slow things down, everyone else suffers.

Hang in there, we'll try to get it figured out.

Hey, well thanks Jason. It went to sleep on this end, but I figured that was normal, or that it was a busy time of day and everybody and their dog was on the net. BTW - I like those Hot Topics, and Crazy Hot Topics etc on the board - neat!

I think maybe there's a couple of problems here. If you experienced problems last night, it was probably because of a network outage with AT&T and our hosting company, Pair. I wasn't online during those hours, so I wasn't aware of that problem.

What I have seen though, is during the afternoon the past few days the site gets very slow and unresponsive. This is because our computer is under a huge load from someone sharing our server. We're growing quite a bit and doing our share to hog up the server, but the load we're seeing is way beyond normal.

Glad you like the new icons. Hopefully this thread doesn't become a Crazy Hot Topic :-)

Mine's been slow as dirt for 2 days....just blamed it on the servers not you guys.
