At the moment, here in Texas, regular is 94.9 per gal...
However, come summer time, I'm sure it will go back up to 1.49$.....Fred

Hell if I got another piece of plastic I'd have to start carring a breif case! Gas is 103.9 for 94 octane here in Nebraska! But it was down to 94.9 just after new year!

The station down the street has been at $1.179 for months. Everyone else has been up and down the scale from $1.039 to $1.229 over the past 3 or 4 months and he's still at $1.179 while the rest in the general vicinity are, now, in the $1.199-$1.209 range.
That's in the general area 35 miles northwest of Boston. I can go to Lowell (18 miles northeast) and prices will be about 3 to 5 cents cheaper, depending on the brand (or non-bbrand, if you will). I can go west (85 miles) to West Springfield and pay almost ten cents less for fuel. Even in Mass, fuke pices vary drastically. I was down in Quincy last week finishing up teh wiring on the late Sebastian Rubo's '36 (look for it at Cobo Hall, they left Tuesday or Wednesday towing it out there) and I paid $1.139 at Lenny's place when I left to come home.
I burned half of it coming home in rush hour traffic, but that's besides the point. ...it's 48.9 miles one way to Lenny's shop.
Fuel prices will soon be rising again in Mass as the governor wants to pay for the Big Dig with more fuel taxes

Take it from someone who worked at a refinery in Ohio for 31 yrs., they do not have to shut down to change seasonal gasolines. The only shutdowns they have to do is for a general maintenance or as they call it a "Turnaround".They claim lower vapor pressure summer gasoline costs more to produce? Rick the 31 "A" Man

The newspaper said that they had to do a complete shut down to "scrape off the scale" or something like that.
Of course the price will go up; anyone doubt it?
