RE: Toyota seats in my Chevy?

I know the Toyota seats bolted to a bar that ran left to right on the front floor and the back bolted pretty flat to the floor on the outer and raised tube on the inner. This is pretty statndard on all Toyota seats. What I have done in the past is used a piece of 1 1/2" square tubing for the front and either weld it to the floor or bolt it through using 2 bolts per seat. If you bolt through the floor you will want to use a piece of plate (at least 2 inches square)with a hole in the middle for the bolt. If you look at the underside of the Camry thats how the factory does it (sorta). The reason for the wider and thicker washer or plate is so (God forbid) upon impact the bolt will not rip through the floor board. mounting the rear you should be able to drill through the floor and anchor the same as the front bolts on the outer and a smaller square tube in the inner(maybe a longer bolt straight through). The other advantage of the tubing up front is it will compensate for any forward pitch the floor has, although, those Camry seats adjust every way but sideways on the drivers side.

Thanks for the info. It is nice to know I can put these in without having to weld them to the floor.
