Update on the coupe,,, window problem

First of all thanks to everyone that responded to my problem. I went to the rod shop after work on friday and talked to the owner about the situation. And like I said before he just has too much time in it and I think he is sincere that he doesn't want to knick me. I like the guy, he has shot straight with me so far and he is honest. He knows the owner of the body factory and is going to talk to him on saturday and see what would be involved with replacing the doors. After sitting down and looking the doors over I think I might just go ahead and take it home and pull up a stool and stare at it for awhile and see if I can figure it out. You know, take it apart and try to get it to work on the garage floor then put it back in. One other thing, if you guys are interested, I don't have a digital camera yet but I have a couple of shots of the body in my mail that a guy took and sent me. If you guys want me to I will post them on the roundtable so you can see what it looks like. Only problem is I don't know how to do it. Now that's a LOL. So somebody tell me how it's done if it can be done. I've talked long enough, Thanks again. RRM.

Mac, While your sitting there looking at the doors. Try taking out the regulators and see if the windows will slide up and down with out binding. If they do, you know it's not the door or the channels. The regulator might be off set enough to put it in a bind.

I can't remember, Did you say when you bought the body were the windows pre installed? If not the glass might be cut wrong.

anyway keep us posted on what you find out.

You know, it might just be easier to leave in the electric windows and get one of those window cranks that is actually an electric window actuator. Can't remember which vendor sells them, and I don't have my magazines here at the office.

Hotronics and someone else has the switches that are attached to crank handles. I like them. Good idea... $89 I think.

Here's the link to Ball's Rod and Custome page for the product that I mentioned before. This switch allows you to attach a orginal looking window crank to the shaft that will operate your power windows.
