Very interesting...... Eyes on Design has always been held on the beautiful estate of Edsel and Eleanor Ford located on the Detroit River. A most awesome backdrop for one of the most prestigious, invitational only, car shows in town. Has always been held on Fathers Day, kind of like one of those traditional things like the LA Roadster show. Wonder what gives? Hard to believe that not only are they changing the date, but the location as well.
Make sure you pack your sport coat, as you might feel out of place without one on. Most of the men are wearing them and the ladies are wearing dresses and hats. Don't rememeber ever seeing anyone with gym shoes walking around.
Along with the usual assortment of Cords, Auburns, Duesenbergs, Rolls-Royces, vintage motorcycles and a few muscle cars and streetrods, there are normally quite a few concept vechiles from the Big 3.
One of the most unusual awards given out is called the "Visually Impaired Choice Award". A group of visually impaired "judges" are guided thru the show and physically "feel" the body lines of the different vechiles they are judging. They all have on white gloves and seem to be very caring in their caresses. Very moving to watch.
You'll have a great time, unfortunately I'll be at the GG show in Indy.

Looks like I'll be foregoing Indy to get a front row seat at "your show" LOL
You better not stand still too long or those visually impaired judges might grab ahold of something you don't want them too!!! ROTFLMAO :)))
