Opinions on most durable, liquid paint for bumpers

I'd like to hear some opinions on the most durable liquid paint you've used or heard used on a bumper. My plan is to use a silver, either non-metallic or, very low metallic. Powder coating is not something I want to use, hence the wording "liquid paint".
Thanks, Greg

A quality urethane paint like PPG or Dupont should be tough enough unless you are planning on parking by ear.

Im thinking I should be offended.
What a few of you are describing is known as New Hampshire chrome.
That was the name given to us "poor boys" by the snobs down in the MSRA ( Massachusetts SRA) back in the early 80's.
It didnt help when NH was the first state in the USA to get Street Rod plates along with relaxed inspection requirements.
California who? Where is that?

been hearing alot of good things about the products POR-15 makes, maybe there sterling silver top coat over POR-15, and give that a try since its not too expensive, like PPG or other paints. Personally i think i'd paint a glass bumper the same color as the car, but each to his own. good luck.

POR 15 makes a product call Hardnose which is a top coat that is suppose to be just the ticket for this type of application, however in looking at the web site, they don't offer it in silver. POR 15 does make the rust preventative in silver, however I believe it suppose to be top coated if exposed to UV. Of course this could be top coated with silver and when the road gravel works it's dirty deed on the bumper the damage won't be as noticable.
