Just received my new Insurance policy in the mail from Hagerty, untill completed I had the 37 insured with another carrier. There is a new endorsement regarding racing. My car is covered at a race track providing it is in a paddock or specified show area, however the fine print seems to exclude coverage while driving on the track as we do at most Goodguys events.Just wondering if this is common with other companies or is specific to Hagerty?Might be worth checking out with your agent as I will do in the morning, sure would be a shame to have a blowout, slide into the wall and then find out you're not covered!

Why do people park in a driveway, and drive in a parkway?

Sounds like an escape clause built in by Hagerty, Daryle.

Daryle:
I know I can get coverage for my race car that covers the car at home, while on the trailer & at the track. But NOT while going down the track.

Fred,That is the way I read my policy also....will check with my agent in the morning....then I'll know....won't stop me from driving on the track but at least I'll know it's at my own risk if that is the case!See Ya!!

Thats nothing new with Hagerty. My Corvette insurance with Sneed, Robinson, and Gerber in TN reads the same way. I've always figured that if something happens on the track that I would hall the car home and stage an accident elsewhere. I really don't have to worry about smashing my cars, the bad karma gods like to start mine on fire! LOL
