After 22 looooong days and nights, this sniper and his acomplise finally got busted, at least they're 99.999% sure. Cops released a picture of the car they were supposedly in at midnight and by 1 it was seen and here came the FBI, State and local police and ATF.

Since then, the rest areas been closed off and media along with all the cops and investigators have filled the place. About a hour ago they loaded the car on a enclosed trailer and drove from Fredrick which is about a hour west of me to Rockville thats about a hour and 15 south of me.

Looks like we can breathe a little easier around here.

2 seconds ago the news just confirmed there WAS a rifle and other evidence in the car. So it looks like it's a done deal.

I hope they don't violate the perps civil rights, especially for a speedy trial. After they're convicted, let the victims' families learn how to shoot a 223 rifle, using those two for the target...slow learners first.

Hey Grant....Take a long DEEEEEEP breath. We are far enough away that the nerves weren't bad around here, but I know I can speak for a number of people that we're glad it's over for you guys down there. Our X Mayor is living in the D.C. area and has been giving daily updates on a local radio station.

I was just in Fredrick on Sunday! A friend and fellow rodder lives down there. Freaky! Suz didn't want to go, and I told her, awe, it's not even close to where he is. He's (the sniper) an hour South of there. LITTLE DID I KNOW! Glad it's all over. Too bad they didn't just shoot 'em.

On CNN news tonight, they showed a computer generated picture of their car. The rear seat would fold down,and the shooter could climb into the trunk and shoot through a hole in the back of the car, never even leaving the car to shoot people. If they don't get the death penalty for this, this country is really in trouble.

Phil,I agree...They should be executed as soon as they are proven guilty....none of this spending years on death row wasting tax dollars bullcrap...perhaps they should broadcast it on Network television nationwide as a deterant.See Ya!!

It's them alright. The rifle that they found in the car came back positive as the one that killed at least 10 of the people. The evidence doesn't get more sure then that. I just hope they don't get off, or a reduced sentance, cuz of a technicality. They should fry!

Just traveled that route earlier this week. Our son lives in the Ocean City area and we went for a long week-end. Took our granddaughter with us with stricked instructions from our daughter that we were not to stop for gas in Maryland. I had to explain to her that my truck doesn't hold enough gas not to stop. Usually stop at that reat area when traveling on I70. I agree with the above about using them for target training.

Can you think of a more COWARDLY act? Hide in a trunk and pick-off innocent people! To bad they were caught alive.
