So, I get one more car fix before I head out. Is it too early to start talking about the show in Charlotte?
We're driving over on Saturday am and will be staying overnight at the Comfort Inn at Sugar Creek Rd (exit 41).
Meeting spot, dinner get together, BBQ?
JW, Duece, Denise, 35 delivery, 52 mg, et al?
It looks as though there will be a few HAMBsters there as well.

Ken, can't say for sure one way or the other as yet. The forecast for the weather there looks good but I still have to get from here to there and the high today is going to be in the 40's here!!! :((( I'm crazy but not stupid! LOL Been thinking I might take the Vette but that wouldn't be as much fun. My folks are going. They are leaving the Metro Detroit area on Sunday and stopping in Ashville to hang out at the Biltmore then they'll continue on to Charlotte. Two other couples from here are leaving on Tuesady I believe. If I left on either of those days I'd have someone to cruz with. BUT IT WILL STILL BE COLD! lol I'll decide this weekend probley. I'll post it here when I make up my mind.

we'll be there. Coming in early Saturday morning staying all day and spending the night. Driving the explorer, hoping to take home parts for the 50. Need a heater core, wipers and weather striping before I go too far away from home in the rod. We have not made reservations yet, so yall tell me where you suggest we stay (except home!) Looking forward to getting together with the SRS folks again.

There is a show in Augusta this saturday the 19th. It's being put on by the CSRA Road Angels at the Hooters on Washington Road if any of you can make it I'll be there. (Debbie is going to be in Indy on business so I'll have to go to Hooters by myself)

That settles it then..We'll set up an autograph table for Grant and I'll bring my ICEBOAT for you to take back to the great white north (yes I DO have one) so that you won't have to drive across the lakes (or doesn't it get THAT cold????)

If your iceboat has a heater in it I just might take you up on that offer. The high's are suppose to be in the low 50's by the begining of the week in Detroit. I just have to wait and see. The thought of finally getting to meet you might be too hard to resist. I should probley get the oil changed in the Vette and give him a once over just in case I hop in him and hit the highway heading south. :))

Nope, you can bring one. You can leave it set up over nite as long as it's in the back 40 and not in a premo, power parking spot. We left my 10X20 set up all weekend at KC and no one bothered it. We did take the legs off at nite cuz of the wind.

Well, I have made the executive decision not to attend this year. Kind of bummed out about it but I really don't see the point in going without Big Olds. I did Charlotte last year in my Vette, don't get me wrong, I had a great time, but it's alot of money to spend when I really don't have the car I want to take "ready" to go in weather like this.

What I'm going to miss the most is the people, you guys. I made alot of new friends this summer and I really thought I'd have the opportunity to see everyone in the southeast again before the snow flys. I guess that's not going to happen. :)

Those that are attending John Kings BBQ are in for a treat. He's a great guy with some awesome projects going on in his HUGE garage.

Have a good time, be careful driving and I want to see some photos when you guys get back. :)))

Hopefully they'll aim it right on the track throughout the weekend.

See ya

Sorry count me out ... looks like rain thru Friand I would have to come home Sun early. Most of all rod does hold enough gas to skip thru MD & VA and driving with the Flack Jacket is a little uncomfortable.

The weather man permitting, I'll be at the event on Thursday for the Cruise to the Nascar shops, in a 50's style, black, flamed, 3 dueced, small block, red steeles, white walled, T-bucket. (Whew!) I'd love to take it on the cruise, but no top or fenders may test my courage on that. If not, I'll be with JK, yep, the Friday nite party host, in his dark red 62' Impala SS. If your from this site and you see us, please make sure you introduce yourself. The Southern Hospitality Party is on Friday nite, rain or shine, plenty of indoor room, free eats and a genrally good time. I'm siked, look forward to meeting you......

Well, I heard from my folks last nite. Mom called to fill me in on Charlotte. They are having a great time but the weather is on the colder side. They are going to John Kings BBQ bash so keep your eyes peeled for them. If you can't have me there, my mom's second best! LOL They are in a white 37 Ford with a maroon top. Their top will be UP! LOL There will be three other hot rods with them, a red 40 Ford, a white and black cherry 39 Chevy, and a white and silver 34 Vicky, (the nicest Vickey I've ever laid eyes on). Another couple will be coming with them for a total of 9 folks. JK didn't have an RSVP but just so he knows. Take a minute and introcduce yourself to my folks, they are very cool folks and I'm bummed right now that I can't be there with them. Our agendas didn't mesh to much this summer as far as hitting car shows together. Everyone have a great time and the rest of us will be waiting to hear about the happenings.

I'm going to head to Debb's this weekend so we can pout together that the car show season is over for us! :(((
(actually we're going to scrapbook and hit a BBQ on Sat nite, should be fun!)

Hey Ken, Debbie and I have made reservations at the same motel. Hope to see ya"ll Saturday morning, if not we'll sure see you at noon. Hopefully we'll still take up Denise's idea of getting together for dinner Saturday night, even though she's backed out on us! I'll have the digital camera, maybe it's time we send her some moon shots....
