While at the show yesterday @ Charlotte GG's I was fortunate to meet a new friend.
I'm hoping this is not considered spam but I met a great guy yesterday and he owns a transport co. and I told him about this great site and all it has to offer.
I told him to check out the site and become a member and contact SRS about advertising here with his great service.
Like I said I hope this isn't spam and he contacts SRS and starts advertising here with his services.

Was his name Elra Eilders by any chance? He's a private car hauler out of the southeast that I know. Wouldn't it be a same world if it was? If your new buddy doesn't join up here, just make sure you keep his number handy in case anyone here needs a reliable hauler. It's always nice to know someone who knows the actually driver personally. Did you see my folks at Charlotte? They were parked not too far from you? Did you make it to John King's party on Friday nite? :)

Your "top-less" cruzn buddy, Denise
Sorry Denise but I didn't go too far from the car while there as had it for sale and didn't want to stray too far so I didn't get to meet any of the members. Plus I wasn't feeling too well Fri. and after we got back to the motel I found out why. I checked my sugar and for some reason it had went from its normal 120 to 130 range here lately to 288 and when that happens every bone in your body aches.
The fellow you mentioned is not the same one I met. His name is Kevin Dudley.....great guy !!
Here's his website....check em out
WWW.ENCLOSEDVEHICLETRANSPORT.COM
He said he's aleady advertised with hotrodhotline and I told him to contact Dick and get signed up here with his business also.

Dave, I don't know why the first post didn't come up but I'll try again....I know this is a car oriented site but I have to mention this..I'm a 2 year diabetic and have been taking pills and diet to control the sugar level and lately the numbers have been going as high as 280 and suspect a trip to the VA will put me on insulin shots. No one ever told me that and elevated sugar level would cause bone/joint ache and I've been wondering why I've been "coming to" around 4 in the morning feeling like a truck hit me. Glad I know what it is now! I'll be going in the next day or so as soon as they'll take me. Again, thanks for the tip! Fred

Sorry to read that you are diabetic. Be careful. Diabetes causes eye sight loss, heart attacks, along with kidney and liver problems. I try to control mine with exercise, pills and diet.
I had a fellow working for me that was always tired, thirsty, and was always having to urinate. I checked his blood sugar and it was over 600. He went to the VA and they put him in the hospital for 2 weeks to get it down. Less than a year later he was dead. At 40.

Fred, Deuce is absolutely right. Diabetes is nothing to play with and it effects people in many different ways.
I also suggest you get a flu and phemonia shot every year.
I've had my under control for about a year now and then poof, all of a sudden it goes out of sight. Could be from the stress of the trip to Charlotte, the excitement of meeting some of the new members, or a number of different things. One just never knows.
So just keep a close eye on it and good luck at the VA.

Just to reiterate....
It would be my suggestion to AVOID Southerland Auto Transport.
I had an unsuccessful dealing with them when they failed to pick up my Caddy in Washington state. I waited for a month and ran out of time. It still cost me $200.
He threatened to have my Caddy parked in his driveway if I posted my experience on the WWW.
