I'm looking for ideas on what to use for a pedal car rear end. I want to use 20x1.25 bicycle wheels all the way round, and and bike style pedals. I don't want the pedals to turn when the kid stops pedaling. A coaster style brake would be cool too. I built a miniature dropped axle for the front and haven't done the spindles yet, but I figured I'd probably be able to find a stripper bolt that would be the same diameter as the wheel bearings. Any ideas?

Geez Mike, 20" rims on a pedal car! Thought only the rice rockets of today ran 20's hehehehe. Whats this bad boy gonna be a Monster Truck pedal ride? Wow, thats big for a pedal ride!

About the only way I see ya putting the whoa to the ride is if ya do the pincher style bike brake setup like your thinking.

Worse comes to worse you could always slap 12" Corvette disc brakes on the puppy! The kid will stop real fast with that! LOL

There are twin wheel adapters made that bolt on to bicycles to make them trikes....
That would be the ticket for your rear axle.
Look in a Lowrider magazine, or a Lowrider bike mag if you can find one

@0 " bike rims are tall and skinny. The car I want to build will look like an early dirt track car - track nose etc. The tricycle deal sounds good - any bike shop I guess?

The trike Idea is right on my uncle had one that was a three speed with hand brakes it was made by Schwinn
