Is is normal for the sides of a '32 hood to have about a 3/8" gap between the bottom of the hood and the frame? I have a Rootlieb 3-piece hood, and was just wondering if this is normal. Anyone?

Is this a highboy ? Then yes it is and some builders weld a filler piece on the inside of the hood to fill that gap . I think just spotted on to minimze warpage . Can roll the bottom edge for finished look . Will be doing my own that way soon. Hope this is helpful ! Wink

Thanks, Wink. I figured I would have to go that route to close the gap.

How's the top fit, Lynn? As I looked at their catalog and ran tape on my coupe I didn't think that it would fit right. I can't remember what body your using....Hastings, Outlaw? I think I'm going to make up a template and have them make one.
