I have heard in the past that if a car came from the factory a certain way you can run it that way now. As an example if your car came from the factory without seat beats the cops can't force you to put them in your car. Is this true? Here's my question, did the 1932 Ford come with a license plate light? I do not want to run a license plate light, but I want to know now before I do my wiring. Thanks again for your responses. RRM

1932 Fords came with a tag light. The drivers side tail light has a opening in the top of the tail light housing that lets the tail light illuminate the tag. The tag is mounted on a bracket to the rear of the tail light housing.
I would post a photo but my 32 has 38 - 39 Ford tail lights mounted in the rear body panel.
Two tail lights were optional on a standard 32, a Deluxe came with two. Some states required two tail lights so the Ford dealer had to order all his new 32's with the optional passenger side tail light.
Hope this helps........... Deuce

Just as a side note,If you intend to have the car NSRA inspected,I believe it is required to pass.In Nebraska,we are required to have only what was original equipment on the car.See Ya!!

Up here seat belts have to be worn unless your car never came with them. I do believe however, that if you have them in your rod and get caught not wearing them you will be fined.

Photo of a friends 32 Vicky. He has both tail ights because the Victoria only came in a Deluxe version.
If you look close, you can see that the drivers side has tag bracket on the rear of the tail light. The top 60 degrees of the light has a 1" wide space to illuminate the tag.
If you are not using stock tail lights, AC Cobras have a very small, tasteful tag light with two bulbs. It is very bright. Came stock first on a MG I believe.

Shot of the AC Cobra tag light. They repro them now. Not back in the 80's.
About $25 repro from the MG guys.

Randy, the more pics I see of your car the more impressed I am. Very very cool, and all original metal .... so nice.

Just use the Lite-N-Bolts
They work great, I've used them in the past, they are even smaller now
And you can probably purchase them on this site
