I put a Chev 350/350 in my '38 Ford. How can I mate the Ford speedometer to the newer Chev trans? Does anyone make
a cable like this?
Thanks

Keith, if you check Street Rodder or some other car magazines, you will find a few companies that can make what you need. Hemings Motor news will also be a good source to look. Outside of that, I always used aftermarket speedo's and didn't encounter your problem.

The stock one should work. It does in a 40 Ford with SBC/T350. My brother had this combimation and we used a new but stock cable. It is difficult to change the speedometer gears to get the speedo correct. Not difficult to figure out..... difficult to physically remove and reinstall.

Try to do it before final time you install the trans.

Try this link for help:

Hope this helps.........

A stock one should work IF you are talking about hooking it up to a stock speedometer, not aftermarket speedometer.

I took my spedo&spedo gear to a parts store and went through the catalog.
