This tired old fanny can't begin to think of ridding on plywood and foam . I know Wise Guy and Glide have a great product but anyone know of a salvage yard seat that fits well in 32 roadsters ? Thanks in advance . Wink

Are the chrsyler seats foldable, bottom up , back down ??
Try 80's something Ford Escort rear seat. Run that in my 30 A Roadster, works good and the bottom tilts up for access under the seat where I have the electrics and the back folds down for more storage.

Would that be a sedan seat? Or was it a wagon seat .? Folding back kinda throws me off . Thanks Wink

Believe it came out of a 2 dr sedan or maybe it was kind of a hatch back style. The bottom came up from the back of the seat toward the front of the car and the back then folded down to meet it and made a floor to haul stuff in. I could almost curl up back there and sleep if I had too. I used the headliner for door panels and kick panels etc. Still not done though.

I'm using a seat from an '89 Dodge Caravan. The middle one out of a long wheelbase van is what I have and it fits very well! You'll have to rework the bottom steel mounting points to lower the seat a bit & to mount it on a flat floor. These seats have side arm rests & built in seat belts, however they don't tilt forward.... bu that wasn't a concern for me. I got a perfect one for $100 but you may be able
to do better! A lot cheaper that the others & it can be recovered in what-ever fabric your using.
Ther're also very comfortable & well designed for long trips.

Hope this helps.....Ed

How wide are these seats overall? At the mounting rails?

Let me measure my roadster for you.
I'll get back to you in a bit.

The front seat is still at CKs, but the rumble is here in the attic.

Are you interested in the rumble as well?

I've actually got a frame with springs from a Chevy Luv I modified to fit. It's just that lately the thought of the upholstery costs scare me. I wondered if I would be better off to get something that fit that was already covered. My ride is a bit different than a 32 roadster. It's a 31 Pontiac. Still it's interesting to see what you all are using.

I used 87 T-Bird Buckets in my 31. Might be an option unless your looking for a bench seat.

I'll have to measure to be sure, but I think the overall width is about 42". Not sure about the
mounting point width, but it is a fair bit narrower.

Thanks for the size. I got distracted and didn't measure mine last night. Let's see if I can remember tonight.

I have the middle and back bench seats from a 91 Ford Aerostar minivan. They are a maroon fabric and have almost never been sat in. They have been in my basement for almost 10 years. You are more then welcome to one of them if you think it might fit.

I might add that you better opt for cloth seats rather than vinyl as the vinyl gets dog gone hot setting in the sun with the top down if you have a top.

I have a Rodtin front and rumble seat for the 32 roadster.
Neither have been used.
The rumble looks new and the front seat is stained and dirty from sitting out in a friends garage.
He tried it for his A roadster, but it didn't fit.

Hundred bucks plus you pay shipping takes it all.

I also used a mid seat out of a caravan. It doesn't flip forward but it's easily modified to flip forward.
Works great and is very comfortable with a little extra foam.
