I am looking for a suggestion for a donor car for a leather rear seat that will fit in the back of my 32 Tudor. I want to make it hinged so I can bury an amp, spare, jack, etc. behind it. I need it in light gray to be specific. I was thinking a BMW 325 convertable might do it, but haven't had a chance to measure a good donor yet.

To find a seat that will fit, AND the right material, AND the right color without modifications seems like a tall order Nathan, but you might get lucky. An old friend of mine who's since passed away, used a back seat out of a chevy citation in his 35 chevy sedan. He used to brag how well it fit, so if you run out of options, you might take a closer look.

I've got a 90 Dodge Caravan, and the middle seat is about 41" w/o the armrests. I know that the Chrysler mini's had leather as an option in the later years, but am not sure about the older ones. Check out some of the other brands mini's; they might have just what you need, and the way they're built should be easy to convert to what you need.

What a lot of folks do around here is build a seat out of foam. Cut a suitable plywood bottom and glue the foam to it. Shape it to suit. Do the same for the seat back. Bobby Griffey sells a firm foam male for this purpose.
That is what I did for my 32 roadster

TYPO.......
Bobby Griffey sells a firm foam made for this purpose.
The springs do not ride as well anyway. The chances of finding a compatible rear seat that matches the front seats with good leather is slim to none IMHO.

The leather will be a problem.
as far as fit goes, I've seen Ford Laser (your Escort I think {Mazda based}) rear seats fitted to several '32's in Australia. These would be pre-'94.
These seats have split backs and neat catches and are well made.

Hey Nathan, why not contact TEA's seats? I'm 99% sure they'll have something that would fit unless we're talking budget building here and their seats are a little too steep in price for ya.
If you want, Phil had mentioned minivan seats, and the '96-'02 rear bench would probably work. I can measure mine for ya and get back to ya with the measurements. They also came in leather so ya just might get lucky here and kill 2 birds with 1 stone...maybe 3 birds if you want power seating as most of them have.
See ya!

POWER REAR SEATS!! geeez, mine don't even move (except when I take them out to haul stuff). the rear seat in the 90 is 46" wide, and the back folds down, if it's any help.
power rear seats! dam! But hey, the van has almost 223k on it.

rear fold downs from a 67 mustang will work really well. A friend of mine mounted battery and a donut spare behind his seat in a 32 sedan and I'm planning on doing the same.

On a 67 Mustang, I guess this would have to be a fastback? I had some success with an internet junk yard on my LT-1 motor and T-56 trans, but you have to tell them all the parts you want in the deal. Are there parts that need to be taken from the car other than the seats, like mounts, latches, hinges?

My '34 tudor should be very close to the same rear measurements of your '32. After doing a LOT of looking, I used the Ford Escort GT seats from a 2-door. These seats fit perfectly & are a delux seat with considerable padding which aids in keeping the seat base higher off the floor pan. Additionally these seats are made to fold down. All brackets and whatnots were removed from the GT & was not all that hard to adapt and install in the '34--looks/feels like they were made for it. These seats are very comfortable. For my part, I did not want leather & was able to find a very nice, like new, set of seats and installed them front and back in one full swoop. The seat inserts were replaced to match the door panel & headliner material. Cost to do these was not all that bad. If you like, I have pictures & could send if it appeals to your likes & needs.

The Escort sounds good. What year(s) would work best?
