Just got back.

Just got back from the rt. 127, 450 mile long flea market/garage/yard sales in KY, TN, and AL. Didn't make it to AL, though. Where do these people get all this JUNK??

Got some pix of a salvage yard in Jamestown, TN that I'll post online later. He says the cars are for sale.

that's a trip that my wife has always wanted to do! Did you fill up the wagon with goodies?

My wife and daughter have been at this event the last 3 years and says that it sure is changing fast. First 2 years they went it was alot more yard sales and some very decent prices but this year it turned into alot more flea markets than yard sales and much higher prices.

Sure doesn't take long for Mr. Greed to step in and start ruining what it was set up to be in the beginning.

We started in Covington KY, and found some good buys. We spent two days in KY. Seems like the better places are near the cities. I liked the 'feel' of the sales places in TN better, seemed more like garage sales and yard sales, than piles of junk with high prices (but, they were there too). We tried to look for actual sales in front of peoples' homes, but they are few and far between.

Alot of vendor's with the cheap tools, etc, and mountains of junk glassware, Barbie dolls, clothes and vacuum sweepers. Anyway, we figure not to do it again, and if we do, it will start in TN.

One vendor said that he heard it will be for nine days next year, but I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Here are the pix that I took in Jamestown,TN. Wish I could have gotten some better pix. It was late in the day, and he wouldn't open up, or let me to the rear fence to take more pix. Anyway, he says that they are for sale; looks like some neat rod material in there, but don't know about his prices. I've got his name and phone # if anyone is interested.

Those are great shots considering. I love to walk around yards like that. In photo MVC-016s, what is the white wagon looking car? A surburban???? year? I kind of like its looks from what I can see.

My guessis that it's an early GM wagon. There is also a late 40's Poncho wagon in one of the pix, plus that super long Hudson 4dr.

That looks like a 49 chevy station wagon Denise.
mvc11s shows a 51 or 52 Pontiac 2Dr Ht. that would be a nice ride for somebody.

If everything was shaved off, could a 49 Chev wagon pass as a 48 by any chance?
