Easy up sun shades

Give me a hand here guys. A while ago there was a thread on sun shades like Easy-ups and such. I've searched the archives but came up empty. It had to do with the prices and manufacturers of these pop ups. Anybody remember??

Why do people park in a driveway, and drive in a parkway?

Rick,

Now that I know it works like I thought it would, here's how.

Highlight the article name, then right click on the name and a menu will pop up. Then click on proprieties and copy the proprieties. Go to your post and paste them in the post and SRS site will show it as a hyper text link.

My old man bought me one for my B-Day, at Dick's Sporting Goods. I think he only paid $100 for it, and it's built nice and sturdy, and, it's peaked, so it runs the water off better.

Hi, I was walking thru our local SAMS CLUB (branch of Walmart) the other day and noticed thyey sold one of those easy-up type canopies. It looked pretty decent and even came with clear poly sides that velcroed on to the top part in case of rain. I beleive it was a 10x10 and sold for around 100 bucks. If there is one of these stores near , you could check it out in person instead of relying on a picture on the puter. good luck, Dale

I had posted that at that time Lowe's had their's on a clearance, either 25 or 30% off. I purchased one of those and I believe that 35 Delivery purchase one from Lowe's about the same time. When we were at the show in Helen a rain storm came up and one of the other people there had one of those Walmart type canopies, with poles you have to join together to set it up. One of those pole sections slipped out of a quickly moving wet hand and landed on the hood of his car, he wishes he'd spent the few more bucks for the easy up type!

Man, I've been chasing all over trying to find these deals you guys are talking about. I've got an old QuikShade that is pretty much trashed and want to get an EZ-Up with the pointy top. The QuikShade didn't hold up very long and it looks like the EZ-Up is built better. The cheapest I've found so far is $199 at Sam's club which comes with 3 side panels. Around here, Menards, Lowes, Walmart, Target, and the discount Sporting goods stores don't have EZ-Ups. We don't have a Dick's Sporting Goods.

I noticed one more thing. The QuikShade 10'x10' is measured at the base and the legs angle out so the actual canopy size is only 8'8". That's the one I have now. The EZ-Up 10x10 is the actual canopy size.

I should mention that the one from Dick's, is a generic name, but it's built really well. It's 10' X 10', and has a carrying case that has wheels. Makes it real nice to tote, and store. Can't think of the name right now, I'll look when I get home, but, for $100, you can't go wrong.
