Man, is it that time already?? I've been on vacation for the last two weeks and completely lost track of time. I'm not sure yet if I'm going or not, but will definitely make it if other SRS's are going to show up. How about you, digger...are you going?

I'll be there. For anyone who has not been there, there is also rides an things for the kids so bring the family. I think it usually draws between 500-700 cars.

What will you be driving, digger, so I'll know where to find you. Looks like the weather will be cool this year. Usually very hot and not much breeze.

This show is judged by judges (which I don't care either way), but I'm wondering if you know how many changes are allowed to keep a car in stock class?? My interior and wheels are not stock, plus it has a 350 instead of 283.

I think that you could have three changes, but I'm not sure. The firsttime I went to Amboy, they gigged me for the wrong bumper jack. I said I didn't care, but I wasn't in stock class, either. Oh well....

Phil...you ole dog....

I did'nt know you were a trophy hound !

Just kidding.... It is very discerning to go and have to watch clearly inferior vechicles to go the stage just because they are the only ones in their class or even worse all their buddies voted for them. My wife and I leave early most of the time before awards are passed out. We just go to sociaize anyway. When it gets hot, she and I head for the house. It was over 100 degrees here today.

We got together with 40studes club from Orangeburg SC and cruised down to Charleston SC. Toured around the old down town market area and the Battery. The Battery is where the Civil War between the states began. Ate some fresh seafood and cruised on back home, in the roadster, no top on, and 100+ degrees. 250 miles. We be warm ! !

Actually Deuce, I'm not. If you look at my car from 5 ft, it looks stock, so why should it be with the multi $$ street machines (I was actually made to move in one car show; someone complained that it wasn't stock). It's a Catch-22; people looking at street machines are wondering why my car is there, and people wanting to see stock, are wondering why it's there.

Either way, the temp should be lower today than it usually is for the show, which is good. The whole show takes place right on the main streets, and it really gets hot when it's hot, with all that asphalt. Maybe digger can keep me away from the junk food. LOL.

Well, I got to Amboy too late to enter (long story, and it won't happen again). I did see digger there, checkin' out the cars. I've got some pix on webshots if anyone cares to look. I've even got some 32's for Deuce. So many people, it's hard to get pix. Had to almost slug a guy to make him move...I guess he thought that maybe I would take the pic with him in it.

Yup saw Phil and his lovely lady at the show, she was holding some guy down with her foot on his throat while Phil took a picture of a car....LOL
Nice pics Phil I really like that black 46 Cevy truck (mvc051s) it was featured in "Classic Trucks" it is outstanding. The 50 Merc (mvc054) has been around for several years and just recently got a makeover. He also has 3 others that I know of (the last I Knew) of the same outstanding quality. A 41 Willys, Zipper 32 roadster, and a "Lister Chevrolet" replica that is dead on with Halibrand "Kidney beans" and perfect detail everywhere. He lives just a little ways from me and drives these cars to shows. They all look like trailered cars but noooo!
