I am a little leary of any thing that says "bolt in" from the aftermarket.I'm sure that it would work, but I would think that its not just gonna bolt in.

i'm cornfused, why would you worry about "bolt-in"?
there are MANY factory bolt in type front suspensions out there(gm pu's come to mind).
or is it that MOST "bolt-in" stuff doesn't?
CE's do fit btw....at least the rear end kits do. haven't done a FE..

your right their are many factory bolt in suspensions.I have a 69 chev and a 96 mustang in my shop now both with factory bolt in suspensions.I said aftermarket. How can any aftermarket co. account for every situation on every car.I have chasis engineering rear springs on my car now and I am happy with them.If it bolts in correctly with no hole drilling, rivet ginding, or welding of any kind I would be surprised.

I'am useing a bolt in Must2 in my wifes car (51 Chevy). Installed 5yr's ago and no problems. I sold the 51 cross member to a early Vet owner. All Chevy's thru 54 were bolt in's. It's a good unit.

I have the CE front and rear suspension kits on my '39 Chevy. I'm very satisfied with the product. I also have the motor and trans mounts. Would not hesitate to use agian.

38 Is correct it's not a simple bolt in I had to remove (drill out) ribbits and add and inlarge all of the holes. I had it installed by myself and the front end allinged in a weekend. I bought my unit from the person who devoloped it for R B's. Get the correct strut arms as there are 2 diff degrees and I have forgotten which ones are correct. So go for it it's simple.

Thanks everyone for the tips and info...I ordered my crossmember and got it today...It looks like its gonna be a sweet set up....I have to save up some more now and order the control arms, spindels ect....I think I'll go with wider lower arms to eliminate the strut rods as I have heard from a few people that they have a tendency to crack at the frame....As I get going on this I'll post some pics...
Thanks again.

Tomslik:
I bought the CE bolt in crossmember kit with ajutable spring pods.....
I was looking at thier suspension kit and the widened lowers are only $50 more for thier economy widened arms which I didnt think was too bad and for $50 it would be worth having two less pieces to fool with...
I just have to get my new rockers welded in and then pull the body off so I can get the frame blasted and ready to install the front member and my new rear spring set up....I've always wanted to build a rod after years of muscle cars and trucks and just decided to do it right so I can enjoy years of cruising...
Thanks again for all the info I have recieved on this board...
