I have Astro Supremes with skinny whitewalls on my '48. They give a nice 60's flavour to it. I got mine locally through a wheel dealer. I know that Moon sells them, not sure where else you'd get them in the US.

:-) Thanks, Tbird! I have a lot of fun with it. Here's a pic I took of it today in front of our shop. Amazing how crappy it looks with my winter "roller" tires and wheels. *LOL*
I brought it out today as we're installing a new engine this week, among other minor upgrades.

It hasn't been to bad this past week. Most of the snow has melted. It's been in the +10 C range for the past few days. Almost feels like spring!

Thanks, Tbucket.
T-bird...here is the number for the guy I got mine through. He deals mostly mail-order, so he may be willing to ship to Australia.
His name is Daryl Loose, and his shop is called Wheelmaster Classics. Phone number is (403)547-0605.
If you call, tell him Al Gingles sent you.

After building that white '57 'vert (and completing a '40 Merc sedan, pics to follow) at the shop, yeah, changing an engine is consided a "little" thing. :-) Hopefully we'll have a stall available for my beast after this weekend. I'm still waiting to get it inside to start the work.
btw...you should take something for that hiccup. *LOL*

I checked in here at work today, and all there was instead of pix of your car, was a little sign stating that the website where your pic is wouldn't allow it to be shown on other sites. Here at home, your car shows up great. Usually, when someone tries to post a pic of their car, and it doesn't work, there is a red X in its' place.
BTW, if you like wide whites on your car, go for it. It's your car, and besides, a lot of trends are started this way, or come back from the past.

You were talking about skinny white walls right?
You weren't going to put WWWs on a '65 bird were you?
Especially on Astro Supremes?
Say you mean't Skinny Whites..
Please....
And it's a good idea to paint the brake drums Hi-temp satin black, so the spokes stand out and the drums don't.

You can find them in Lowrider Magazine in any of the rim/tire ad's (and theres alot of 'em throughout the book!) A buddy of mine got a set of them on skinny whites, mounted AND balanced for just pennies. If you look in the right place, they're always throwing together wheel/tire combo packages super cheap!
