I can't limit myself to one brand. I've probably been stuck by one of each at one time or another...and I've cussed every one that I've owned. (still looking for the best car on the road).

Ford....Chebby......Dodge'um......Their all good in my book
Now of all the "new" cars I've been around my Dodge Caravan (daily driver/weekend cruiser/show'er) tops 'em all......You could do 110 mph in the thing and it feels like your doing 40, really soft ride....
As for Rods & Customs.....had 'em all.......Ford, Chevy, Mopars........And loved 'em just the same. All were Chevy powered ofcourse!

It's the "General" for me. Sorry, I just can't do that "F" word. I've had 11 Chevy II's, a 33' Chev Master sedan and the current car is a 35' Pontiac 3 window coupe. Had a 62' Falcon briefly, very briefly. Remember, when you drive a General Motors product, the only time you will see the back of an "F" car is when its parked.

I keep hearing that Chev is "The heartbeat of America" so I coined one for Ford guys. " The Power for the Passion"
I'm traditionally a Ford guy but my daily driver is a GM. If I could get hold of a good 34 Chev roadster then I'd stick a 351c into it just to PO the Chev guys.....Nah, not really, but I get amused at the Chevy guys that believe only Chevies should be in anything they want and when they see a Ford in a Chev they get real indignant. I do believe Chevs for Chevs and Fords for Fords and Hemis can go anywhere they damn like.

I'm not brand loyal when it comes to cars. My wife and I both drive Fords as daily drivers. Best "newer" car I've owned was a '90 T-bird. Currently have an '89 Mustang and Taurus in the Ford stable.
As for rods/customs...anything goes.

I must be getting old, Cause I can't seem to find any "old tin of any brand that i don't like" EXCEPT for rice stuff, and even at that I think they are even pretty reliable but not for a rod, but hey a new generation is rizing from the ricers like it or not we are living in changing times. My driver is a 36 Chevy 2dr sedan, but I got 1 more chevy on the build and 2 Fords in the barn waiting to be resurected and even maybe a MOPAR in the future, but for an old fat fart like me it's American iron for life, hell you can't even make beer cans from squished ricers,,,,,Chevys, Fords, and mopars for me.... ricers for the wife and inlaws...Fatchuk

I'm the Mikey that dont eat everything!
I am a chevy guy but havn't liked to much out of Detroit design wise, since the late '80's and into the next 15 years. Had a '95 Buick and the rear disk brakes are junk and very costly. Calipers seize up every 2 years.
Like Chevy powered Musclecars and Chev/GMC trucks, 1974-87.
Like Ford Model A's and B's with Chevy 350/700R4 driveline.
Like Nissan or Honda cars for everyday transportation.
Would also consider a Ford F350 Super Cab dully diesel if I needed a 1 ton. This pretty much lists my preferences.

Ford MAY have the better idea.
GM is trying to figure out what it is.
Chrysler has been using it for 70 years.

As far as old cars, I like what ever trips my trigger, lol
but we have a model A (in process) with a 351 windsor going in it, and then the Lincoln...guess thats as close to a ford as your gonna get?
Had a pontiac with flat 6 in it, till we wore that motor out then put a 472 caddy in it, before we got "this" lincoln
Welcome to the site Christo!! Glad to have you aboard.

Where do i start. We have 9 cars, 4 fords, two being rods, the 46 and 41 the other two being Ford Focus wagons,(company cars). 3 Dodges, my Intrepid, son's Stratus and an 89 Daytona, a 240 Nissan SX which my dauther absolutely loves, I btw have fun scooting around in it also but have to watch the hydroplaning and lack of traction in snow. Then there's the Packard.
Notice, no GMs at all with the exception of the two rods running SBCs. Been thru the GM gambit, From a 84 Caddy that burned oil faster then it drank gas, was a two year old leased car when I got it, looked good but sheesh, I think we're in Iraq cause of the amount of oil it consumed.
Then there was the 86 Olds Cutlass International Series with 4 wheel disc that also froze up and needed replacing every two years. Beautiful black car with silver spoilers etc, Only problem was the paint just slid off the car within 6 years or so.
My best GM was my 66 tempest that i turned into a clone Goat, long list of improvements and mods.
now for Chevys, hmmmm, had a Vega once that I'd race at Islip Speedway on run what you brung nights, was a 4 cylinder with a 4spd so they started me at the front, yikes! I'd pull up towards the wall and let a half dozen cars or so pass me then I'd get on it and go between all the wrecked chevelles, mustangs, etc LOL, ran 4 times and finished 4th each time with car fields of 20 or so, lol. then would drive the car home. that little hatch back really was a fun car to drive around in.
my all time fav chevy was our 32 Chevy sedan with a worked Buick V6, drove that car all over the country, next favorite chevy was my 70 Monte carlo, that car handle nicely and the 350/300 was just right for it.
I could go on and on, my hemi New Yorker, my MGA, 40 olds 66, 40 Buick Century 6 wheeler but, i think i bored you all too much already. LOL
oh, my choice? When it comes to Hot Rods? Fords, don't matter if it's Olds powered, Chevy, ford, hemi, Caddy whatever, but IMHO the shell has to be Ford for ME. And yes I know, engine does matter but i think you all knew what i meant.

Like em all. Wife has a Dodge Grand Caravan to haul around the grandkids. I drive a 93 Silverado back and forth to work. As for our pleasure vehicles. I have always liked the tri-fives. Have a 55 Chevy now. have had numerous 57's in my lifetime. When I took the street rod plunge, i bought a well built car with plenty of room for my 6'6" frame. It turned out to be a 48 Dodge, with a Chevy drivetrain. The majority of parts that I have are G.M. so I guess you could say I am a Chevy lover.

Like them all, I never limit myself, Ford, Chevy, Mopar, Buick, Olds, Pontiac, AMC, whatever, as long as it's RWD and powered by a V8.
If I was doing a long hauler though it have to be powered by SBC or SBF, just because there so easy to get parts for and get back on the road, if something happens.

Even though our "T" is Chev powered, I still prefer a Ford, especially in a Ford. If you bow-tie boys think Chevys are all that, why do you need to put a Chev in a Ford? Is it because it is "the" thing to do...everyones doing it? When you consider most "rod-able year" cars allshared similar body styles, why is it there are so many Chev powered "Fords"? When you look at the likes of Andy Brizo's new 32 roadster, what does he choose for motivation.....Ford. Not a "mouse" motor either. But hey the bottom line is whatever makes ya happy go with it, just as long as we all keep roddin' who really cares!!
