I just got this in the mail and thought you might be interested.
Please pass it on. Join the resistance!!!!
We are going to hit almost $3.00 a gallon by the summer.
Do you want gasoline prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea:
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas
on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It ! was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.
Please read it and join with us!
By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. It is currently $1.97 for regular unleaded. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50-$1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace,
not the sellers.
With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.
How?
Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act
together to force a price war.
Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year, DON"T purchase ANY
gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one),
EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally million's of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, at this point ... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I am sending this note to about thirty people. If
each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)...
and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message
reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have
reached over THREE MILLION consumers!
If those three million get excited and pass this on
to ten friends each, then 30 million people will
have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it.....
THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people and
DON"T purchase ANY gasoline from EXXON and MOBIL.
That's all.
PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO
THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.
Well I did my part by posting this here, now it's up to you to E-mail your friends.

Since the attack began oil prices have plummeted. OPEC has beefed up oil exports also. I see prices coming down soon. My guess a month.

why does the price rise the very day there is rumor of an increase in the cost per barrel but takes a month or so for the price of a gallon to go down after a slash in barrel price? And, why is the decreased price always just a bit more then the proce prior to the increase? Place up by the V.A. in northport, 2.03 per gallon for premium Shell. Now Al, how much do you want for that Chezabo?

Emil, And Cam 2 (115 Octane) is holding at a rock steady $4.85 since last summer. Love them $85.00 fill-ups. Ahhhh, nothing like the smell of Cam 2 early in the morning.

Makes my blood flow just a wee bit faster when you get that first whiff of Cam 2 mixed with burning GoodYear's.
Add in the sound of a healthy engine screaming thru a set of well tuned headers, with that little "chirp" as the tires come out of the water box.The feeling you get when your helmet hits the rollcage and that little twinge thru the steering wheel that lets you know your front tires just left Mother Earth on a green light launch. About as much fun as you can have with your pants on:))

Gas prices are extortion, racketeering, organized crime, scam? We have two large convienience store chains based here in York. The prices can differ $.15 between stores, on the same day, owned by the same company. It's a crock.

Was just noticing that "oil futures" have dropped below $30 per gallon...something like $28 and change..Does that mean prices will start coming down at a certain time or is it smoke and mirrors???

Hi all, well on the way to work this morning petrol was .95-$1 a litre so that equates to around $4 a gallon. Hell I put premium unleaded in the roadster the other day at $1.15 a litre ( $4.60 gallon). Petrol is dear in Australia, so I do my own conversion for economy - smile to miles.

Ok guys! the weather is getting better so time to bring on the 2 wheelers!! since many get 40 or so s miles to the gal, it should'nt be a problem if some of ya are roadster owners...(we can take the weather whatever it is!) if ya can only take on about 5 gal @ maybe $1.75 per gal., that's only $8.75 !!.......well, it is a bit early in the northeast for scooter riding....
