Very cool car and like the graphics.
Several years ago, my son and I hopped into my '70 GTO JUDGE RAIII and I let the tires rip 120 feet, laying dual rubber in front of five neighbour buds. The next day in the car again my son said, "let it go dad" at which time I explained I we can't do this every day son. I think the pictured 1955 Belair could lay tire tracks for 1200 feet, non stop. JUST HANG ON & OOOO'H HOW FUN.
Burning rubber for 1200 feet is nice but hooking up the whole 1320 is mo betta!

Hi, I know this car, it is actually street registered and in the guiness book or records, you should see the chassis on it, blows the mind. It has its own inboard hydraulic jacks like an F1 car to take the pressure of the tyres. I think the plan is to actually bring the car to the US for showing. Having seen the car in construction and finished state, even with two , with that monster motor between you there isnt much room.

I visited his workshop briefly in 1998 (my dad did a garage scene feature on it for Street Rodding mag) and yeah, the chassis certainly is a sight to see! If i can remember correctly, he has a few radiators in the trunk to keep it cool too (i thought that was kinda bizzarr). Havent seen it finished yet tho...

Tbrid65, grew up in the area, I have seen it completed, and as most guys will know alot of the time a completed car doesnt do justice to the work that is in it. As you said , the chassis was a marvel. Its not my type of ride but I love good engineering and craftmanship. I will ask next time I see rod if he is going to take the car to the states.

Rod's '55's artwork alone, has so much detail that it is really hard to take it all in. Everything is painted on, even Each Rivet on the car is airbrushed on, imagine the time and effort gone into that?! I don't know if you guys in the US of A get it, but an Aussie mag "Cruzin" did a complete feature(about 26 pages) on the car. I seen the car about 3 times when it was getting built and the great lengths of effort Rod and partner, Bill musset have put into it with so muuch enthusiasm, is just brilliant.

I've always liked Rod's twin supercharged 429 T myself... i saw him trying to drive the '55, not sure that it will ever see the quarter, he was really struggling with it!
impressive nonetheless...

From the looks of those headers it runs lean and hot. But I bet it`s a blast to handle in the short bursts.
