The first one to email me at: alklb@alklb.com that builds this type of kit gets it shipped out at my cost! This is not spam, just an offer as I am cleaning out some kits and it is not a kit that will sell for much on EBay. Alan

Because you are doing it FOR MONEY! At cost or not.
Is this site becoming your personal garage sale?

Whoa guys, I'm getting a bit tired of some things here myself. Not that all that many here really care. but I'm coming to Al's defense on this one, a "car model built and mail on to another member in the loop" was proposed a number of months back, I see it as Al picking up the bolt by the same thread it was dropped at. He's following up something some of the member wanted to do. most likely it hadn't started sooner because of cares and concerns for our troups and the at that time imminent war with Iraq.
Another one I wish i would havd spoken up for tho I don't think she cared much for me was Dennis. she's a happy person and some people don't care to see, hear or be anywhere NEAR a happy person. She was willing to help whomever whenever, esp with picture posting. No she wasn't a builder, I'm not either. I do refinments on older rods. My health doesn't allow for more then that. I must be drawing a group here right now cause i ain't too happy with this message board anymore. Alot of good people left due to some others, don't matter who cause if it weren't you it would be someone else. There are cliques everywhere.
most here were pretty good and some here, the remnents are also, some will hang on forever, some won't. I'm not a HAMB member nor wanted to be one. I thought I found a down the middle of the road group of rodders. Many with good things to say and vital information. As far as patriotism and posting heartfelt best wishes I doff my cap to our Canadian brothers at the Roundtable. Many of them showed more solidarity with the rest of the table then we here Americans. Thanks guys.
Sorry I offended anyone at anytime.
Emil
First off, I don't consider Alan's offer as a spam....I didn't see any mention of a money exchange. He offered to send the kit to the first person to email him, at HIS cost.
And , I have to agree with Emil. I've been lurking this board for years and have been active for a about a year and a half. I decided to join because this seemed to be a good group of people sharing useful information both auto related and off topic. I don't know if it's the economy or what it is that is putting some people on edge, ready to snap at something that they don't agree with. GOOD people, and some not-so-good people, have left this board and others have been banned because of it. If people don't start to lighten up this board will end up going away because they will be leary to post.

Although Al dosen`t see my humor sometimes, I gotta agree...No spam here. As far as cliques go, I don`t see any. It seems the cliques left.

Apparently we are not reading this the same way. I take it to mean he will sell it at his cost and ship it to the first e-mail. If I am wrong, you have my apology Al.
As for people leaving this site, some have gone simply because it's just not fun anymore. It has been taken over by the touchy-feely mentality and you have to walk on eggs all the time or someone may threaten to sue you, or if you disagree with someone, their friends send nasty (and sometimes threatening) e-mails. There used to be a lot of good natured sniping and nobody got their feelings hurt, but it looks like those days are gone--too bad.

I read it as he would just give it to the first one who emailed him. It wasn`t too clear but that was my assumption. You are right about the politicly correct bunch that just can`t take a little ribbing but they all took flight. I almost grabbed a bus myself but I refuse to give in to liberals. I also recived those threatening emails...Laughable at best. The good ol days are still here, You know who the ones are that you can goof with and the ones you can`t. Just sidestep the easily offended politcly correct pablum pukers.
