WESCOTT.....hands down
They are also the most expensive.
The Wescott 32 Roadster body has original style latches and strikers. They also have a working cowl vent, a wooden tack strip around the passenger area and a correct seat riser.
I have helped others with the fit and finish of the windshield/windshield posts and the Wescott is the best fitting and least trouble to get correct.
Once the Wescott body is painted and upholstered it is very difficult to tell it is NOT a original steel Deuce.
That is strong words coming from me.
I do not own a Wescott car nor do I have a financial interest in them.
There are others that are good and some OK ....... only 1 is best...

Randy, I agree with you that Wescott makes the most accurate fiberglass '32 Ford roadster body, and would be surprised to see anyone dispute it.
They're also quite strong. I like the way they reinforce the structure around and inside the doors.
Dee Wescott has been making fiberglass parts for early Fords since the 1950s, and he's pretty much got it figured out.

I'd have to agree.
My 32 Wescott body was a hard pill to swallow cost wise, but when it came to blocking and paint prep. it was worth it.

Same here! Mines a Wescott and after 6 years and 14,000 miles there isn't a crack to be found anywhere! Also I like the firewalls on Wescotts - they look like original ones, not just a flat piece. When I did mine I took a lot of time on all the body edges etc trying to make them look like steel not thick glass and it paid off because most people think mine's steel! A streetrod shop owner / friend told me when I was pricing bodies that "sure there was $2000 diference between a Wescott and a ........ and you could buy a ....... and put $2000 into it - but you still wouldn't have a Wescott!"

I aggree that wescott bodies are very good, my '32 Hi boy has a wescott and it is a nice body BUT, if you want quality, the Aussie "Deuce Customs" Top the list. They're the people who are making the Boydsters for Coddington. If you want to see the finish of these bodies, just check out the Goodguys Raffle boydster. A very large majority of rods in Australia are actually deuce custom bodies, and I have never seen one Body of theirs with any blemishes or cracks. I've only had one car with a body from them, a '32 Five window which is in the photo added, and that body was very good.

Welllllll, I guess everyone's got their preferences but I still would go with a Wescott without a doubt. You might be right that "Deuce Customs" bodies are nice, but I've never heard of them or seen anything on them - are there any over here on "the continent"?

Not that I'm bangin the drum for Deuce Customs cause I won't...have a mate that had a bad time with one of their bodies ( 34 coupe ). They weren't interested in doing much about it...So if you ask my mate what body his is he will say any other name but Deuce Customs....it looks great..now, after he spent a lot of time getting it to fit right.

I looked at Deuce after buying my NZ made one for less and the finish on the gel coat is nice but your going to paint it anyway
The engineering and door hinges etc on mine are I believe better than deuces plus tyhe glass is thicker and mine is not an exact replica it has improovements that I think make it a better body and did I say Cheaper ! even more so for you northern guys exchange rate

Kilbourne Rod Shop makes nice '32 roadster and coupe bodies. They were my second choice after Outlaw. If you are interested in checking them out, their website is www.rodshop.net .
