Ford EFI computer woes

Help!
We just finished (almost) a nice '40 Merc 4-door sedan at the shop. It's running a 351W (5.8L) from a '92 F150 pickup. It has Edelbrock aluminum heads with roller rockers, and a Ford Motorports 380 HP cam. I can't recall the specs on the cam at the moment.
We have the engine broken in, but the stock computer just doesn't like all the engine mods. We've been on the phone for the past two days trying to locate something that will work, with no luck.
Has anyone run something like this, and what did you use to correct the problem?
Thanks in advance!

You need to convert to a 90-93 Mustang Mass air computer and harness. The stock F150 system is a speed density system and will not idle correctly or really even run right with any mods. I think the F150 system is batch fire as upposed to sequential so you'll also need to change the engine harness. You should contact any place around you that does late model mustangs for advice or even parts.

Not sure of which computer you are using but I am going the same route in my roadster and using a 91 Mustang computer with a 90 Mustang wiring harness. I spent the 5 bucks and got the Ford Motorsport guide on how to put a Ford EFI system in your Ford. Turns out that the 90 wiring harness is color for color identical to their FMS streetrod harness. Also, the computer that you are looking for is designated A9L. I have sold several on e-bay and there are always a few of them on there at any given time. This computer is normally out of the 88 to 93 Mustang 5 speed cars. The standard transmission car computers will work with an auto but not vice versa. Also been told that the A9L is suppose to be the more aggressive computer. E-mail me if you require further info. Roger
