Yep, they say that as you get older you lose three things
1: You lose your eyesight
2: You lose your hearing
3: Damn, I cant remember that one.
It should be ,If you cant remember any of those things you were born back when the air was clean and sex was dirty.

The 4 track tape had a hole on the tape for a rubber wheel to flip up into to trun the tape. The the 8 track came out the rubber wheel stayed in the unit. The size of the tape stayed the same.

I have used/ remember 12 of those, and I'm only 30! I guess I'm old fashioned, huh? My grandparents are where I saw most of those, I spent my summer with them when I was young. The milkman still delivered until I was 13 or 14, so 17 years ago. I've used a mechanical push mower, poured oil from a can with a spout, drank Dr. Pepper from a pop top bottle, had "pop Guns" with a cork, metal ice cube trays with a handle, been to the drive- in while driving a car with three on the tree. Never washed the car in the creek, although had one that got there by accident! LOL
So, don't feel old. It wasn't "THAT" long ago. :)
I went to the York U.S. 30 reunion this weekend. (Drag Racing Reunion) Man, now those are some "OLD" people. hehehe
Need I say Grumpy Jenkins, or, Jungle Pam. What about Linda Vaughn? Porky Zartman?

I remember all of them, cept the crank gas pumps......
Now , if we are talking about gas pumps that you would crank the handle to reset the count / amount to ZERO before pumping then that puts me at 20 items.
But, I am hoping you mean actual hand crank pumps that filled the over head container with gas before you allowed the gasoline to run into the tank of the car.
Age? less than 50. not by much though.
FWIW...... our 2000 Impala's ignition key was in the dash.
Tony. That will be the one. the crank that set the numbers back to zero. Even the ones with the glass dome had cranks on them. You would cranks the gas up the glass dome. until it reached 3 gallons then it would syphon into your gas tanks.

Someday I want to be able to do that.lol
That was at wash. DC 1997 World of wheels.
Show chairman never heard of me, so he put me in the dungon (basement)lots of extra work, next day the producer showed up,there was hell to pay, I was supposed to be in the front door on the main floor. To late to move.I won best of show, best custom, best display.Chairman thought it was cut and dryed for his friend to win the show, they made quiet a scean.
The hi dollor boys said I could not win anything,I built the car myself in a tin shop in arkansas, I paid my dues, and kept stroken, winning the whole thing in 97-98.

If you wanna hear a funny story sometime, I've got one about him and the car the day he won the ISCA Championship. The trophy/cash cost 'em a good little bit of change. Like a Re-Do of the car kinda change...

Depends on definition...
could be 19 or could be 16.
Either way I'm in that last category, and the last birthday I celebrated was my 39th birthday!
(That was 16 years ago)
The first possible discrepency is #6 A "soda" or "soft drink" is only called "pop" East of the rockies so I never saw "pop" in a glass bottle, till after thy went pastic.
#15 What's an "iceman"? Is that like a traveling jewelery salesman?
#16 When I was in Nebraska the first time, my brother showed me some cars that people "washed" in the North Platte River... they were still getting washed 30 years later.. Is that what that means?
#17 only the crank that resets to zero
contemplating....
#7 A clean one of them oil spouts would work on juice and clear soup cans wouldn't it? Does V8 juice still come in a can?
#3 Red Wings can be more than shoes....somethng to do with a mustache?

Well I can remember all 20, but I am 60 years old.
I pumped many thousands of gas through those old pumps with the counter zero crank at the filling station next door to my Grandparents home.
We had an ice man every other day because we lived out in the country and rual electrification did not reach us until 1950.
We drew water from a well and had a "Honey House" out back.
Glad we don't live that way today.
What is refered to as POP was is called soda water in this area.
