Well, hello Fred. Hope everything works out with the angiogram and all. The reason I was interested whether you had done the Quad4/2004R combo is because I have a Track T with a Quad4/350 combo with 4.11s and I am really dying to swap the 350 for an overdrive AT. (I turn about 3300rpm at 70 mph.) I am not sure yet whether it will be a 200 or a 700, because I have some crossmember issues and it depends which tranny best accomodates the xmember. As you may know, there is no bolt on AT (for inline use) so an adapter is necessary for both the AT to engine and torque converter to flex plate. I've attached a pic of my roadster and if you're interested to see more look in the August issue of Street Rodder, pg.96 (I got lucky). The Quad4 is a neat motor, but it makes its power on the higher end of the rpm curve so the lower first gear that both the 700 or 200 provide (over the 350), coupled with the 4.11s will help out of the hole, while the overdrive will drop the hiway cruising rpm to about 2200. My engine is completely stock, with factory computer and all, so it only has about 155 hp, but in the 1740lb car it scoots pretty good. And it gets execellent gas mileage, even with no overdrive, and it runs cool, even on hot slow cruises. So there is something to be said for keeping it bone stock. It is a kick in the pants to drive! Speaking of which, I am going on a cruise tomorrow to San Diego to the Bean Bandits Reunion. And it is getting kinda late so I'll sign off for now.
TTYL, Bob W P.S. I guess I don't know how to attach a picture yet - I'll work on that.
