Converting a Model A Coupe to a Roadster

Guys and Gals.... I'm thinking of converting my 1929 Model A Special Coupe to a roadster by removing the top and cutting the front windshield posts down. It looks like an easy conversion as my roof is just tacked into the body wood at the belt line and the header panel in only riveted in place. Has anyone out there done this successfully? What are the differences between the two body styles? Will it look OK? I've heard of some horror stories and that they look ugly. Any pictures out there? Thanks for any replies...

Chop it the cheap way. Take a few pictures of it, blow tem up on a copy machine, then chop it up with sissors. If it looks good that way, then reach for the torch. Dave

If you do this, what would you take for the top? My 29 special coupe top is not good. please email me at bartmcneill@yahoo.com As far as making it a roadster, it is easier to make it a cabriolet. That way you can have windows that roll up in the rain.
