Whew...what a day! Started out ok (half way into town I realize I forgot the camera & camcorder so I head back home (sucks havin' to pay toll 3 times)...get that out of the way, get to the show, after a while meet up with Al and the boys, roam around..they scoot, I stay and take pics (I thought)..gotta watch the Texas Bikini Team stage show...meanwhile between hangin' with Al and the bikini show, I decide to film with the camcorder and take pics.....welllll, that didn't work too well, I was told the batterys lasted 2 hours a pop on the camcorder (took 2)..didn't last but 48 minutes..and I DIDN'T GET THE BIKINI CONTEST!! ARRGGH!!!! So I break out the 35mm (still workin' on understanding this dang digital so I did it up "Old School Style"...everything as I knew it was ok, as I took pics I watched and when I got to 24 (24 exposure roll) I took one more just to be safe..then I quit...well with the noise I couldn't hear if the camera auto rewound the film or not...........Ya guessed it...it didn't! It was all balled up inside tore up pretty good when I went to get it out to take it to the store tonight and get it developed.....so, no pics gang! I'll try and round up a few from others if I can swing it.....then to finish the day off, I ended up mashing the left ring finger in a door here when I got home which pretty well smashed the ring my mom got me a month before she died....kinda bummed today went to hell in a hand basket like it did :/

Time to kick back and watch my 30 second video of the show...oughta be able to down at least one beer by the time the videos through. lol

Bummer Grant, am really sorry to hear of all your problems today esp seeing how much you were looking forward to going. So how were the cars? Give us some idea of what was there.

I'll tell ya, there were some Top Dog stuff there...

Posies "Rumored" $350K Willys w/ matching crotch rocket, Jesse James "El Diablo" red w/red flamed Harley (awesome piece!) a good 15 or 20 Vettes in the 50 year of 'Vette gathering from a stock '53 to a 2003 Lengenfelter Twin Turbo 427 22lbs of boost top speed 226mph (But shouldn't it be 49 seeing how they didn't make 'em in '83?), Chrysler City Coupe (w/ George Barris)..awesome ride to say the least! Orange fenderless 429 Cobra Ford Powered '34 with silver flames (ya see it during the opening of Dream Car Garage), alot of other pro street Willys (mainly '40-41 Coupes (best of the few that were there besides Posies car was one of the local boys, candy red with Chroma-lusion flames street legal yet runs 9's consistent), *cough* the Texas Bikini Team, Alot of 50's style Lead Sleds..good bit of Mercs (my personal fav.), A really slick looking '39 or 40 Ford 2 door turned pickup...I could go on and on...too bad the pics didn't work out right, I took a good bit of the "better" stuff there.....wasn't too crazy on the rice burner end of it although a few friends did enter theirs...by the looks of it, in just about every class there's heavy competition....I'd hate to be the judge, there'd be alot of PO'ed people on me like white on rice!

It's only been a few hours and I'm ready for next year! Bet ya after today I wont forget anything, and will have the armored lead suit on! Let 'em mess with me then...lol
