I went back throught the archives and tried to locate the original thread and ,well, nothing seems to be where it is supposed to be. Anyhow, there was a thread about a Hemi Cuda fetching a million bucks. Does any one know if this is the same car? Read the add, whoever he is,he is one arrogant soul.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2401151409&category=6409

Yep.....sure is. This is Dennis Tuttle's purchase of just a few weeks ago from Milt Robson here in Georgia!
I do not know what's up with this? Dennis is a mega collector of all kinds of cars and now is taking a $400,000 loss on this car? Wow?
The add insinuates that the motor may be the real issue. I know the Mopar guys really beat on Dennis pretty bad for a few reasons that I don't understand.....so go figure.
I just went back and checked the progress.......1.3 million,
reserve has been met,and unless he is bidding on it himself,it looks to be sold.
And I thought he was nuts for paying a million.........

There ARE definately people in this world with TOO MUCH money!! Unfortunately...I'm NOT one of them :>( I understand the rareness of this car but aside from that...it isn't even that appealing to me and I love the Cudas/Challengers!!Not even the original motor???What would an unmolested original car be worth???Wish I had one to find out!!

I was just getting ready to write the original article on the million dollar baby when this all broke! What a fiasco!
The cuda never had the original engine block because it had been raced thru the years and we all know how that is. The rest is complete. According to my sources over in the Mopar community the build sheets and the fact that it has all of it's original panels is worth as much as the engine being correct and panels replaced and/or no build sheets. So, whatever.......to each his/her own.
I think the bidder here will take it overseas according to my information. That is too bad. Dennis Tuttle wanted to give others a chance to bid here in the US before capitulating to the foreign resource.
It's just mind blowing and I will get the whole story to write in N/S rodder with better pics than on EBAY.......that's for sure.

I love my Mopars as much,if not more, than most folks, but this is crazy. I wonder if the new owner wants to adopt a Mopar mechanic/son to wrench on it???

Well, evidently the $1.3 Million bid was retracted, so reserve has not been met.
You guys still have another chance -- you'd better HURRY!

Yeah, I had to retract my bid...I was going to get it and give it to slick, but then I got this month's power bill, and needed the extra dough to pay it. Sorry slick.

Actually Jim, I bought a 'new' 89 Minivan, and I'd like the 3.0 to keep up with your 69 Dart. Thought maybe you could super tune it a bit. LOL.

Ya gotta add a rear wing and 50,000 stickers to it too, Phil...THEN you'll have a screamin' demon worthy of a street race or two with the biggest rice fryer in your area.
Geez, I'm ashamed of you guys, YOU FORGOT THE "SPONSOR" STICKERS!! lol

Careful Ed, those guys on Moparts said that isn't the "correct" battery. You might have to end up "giving" it away for $35,000.
If you do get it, why not just keep it for a winter beater. Weld some plow brackets to it and with that hemi, you should be able to get those 3' drifts under control.

I don't know Dennis Tuttle from a hole in the ground but if he has millions to play with, I don't see where his buying or selling mega buck cars hurts anybody. I could care less what he or guys like him do. Hell, give me a few hundred million and I'd have a couple of special cars too.
I'll have to figure out how Viking adds those animations to that guys Dodge pic that put down Eurotrash on the Moparts forum. That opens up a whole new way to express yourself :-)

That IS a cool way to express your emotions. It does however, take a looooong time to load when you are using a dial-up connection:)) And I still wish, the new owner of that 'Cuda, would adopt me:)) Better yet, wonder if he would like to "sponsor" a street rod truck???? Hmmmmmmm......
