Richard, you never cease to put a smile on my face, thats for sure.

Well, for 3 years in a row I've asked Santa for a digital camera and 3 years in a row I haven't gotten it. :(( I guess I haven't been as good a giril as I thought! LOL What was under the tree was a gold braclet, gold earrings, my Photoshop 7.0 textbook, 6 of the photo albums that I like, a tapestry covered scrapbook, wool mittens, 3 pairs of flannel pj bottoms. One of which is black with flames all over. Very cool. My sister got them at Target if anyone is interested. Plus a bunch of other stuff. Certainly costing a whole lot more then the camera I wanted and it would have been a whole lot easier to shop for. Sure doesn't make since to me. But who am I to argue with the big, fat guy. He might have taken everything back! :) I sure don't want to sound ungrateful, but I was so looking forward to that camera.

I did get something really, really special in the mail on Friday. I received a copy of "California Hot Rodder" by Jay Carnine (C9). And it's an autographed copy to boot. Spent a bit of the weekend reading thru it. Great stories, great photos, and great cartoons. Looking forward to getting a chunk of time after the holidays, to sit down and read it from front to back and back to front. It's a must have addition to any automotive library.

All in all a very nice couple of days spent with family and friends. Exactly what makes the holidays so special.

I got a note from my wife saying "go ahead and buy those polished Americans, don't worry about the expense, pickup a set of BFG's while you're there. Have fun, get whatever you need for the ElCamino." --- She says she never wrote the note and it looks an awful lot like my handwriting! She must be getting forgetful I guess. Oh well a deal's a deal! What a gal!

I like guys flannel type pj bottoms to wear around the house. We don't stand on ceremonies aound here. Mike, I 'ran" into an old buddy of yours on the net last nite. Forgot his real name but he has a 54 Stude project on the back burner and a 55 'Bird project that he's working on now. Lives in Lubbock, thats how your name came up. Hasn't talk to you since you were married, so thats how long it's been. Told him about Kelly and that your happy. He said to say hi. I guess I should have written his name down. I can remember his cars but not his name! LOL

man was he good here! I got a carhop tray with the most real looking food that I've ever seen.(burger, fries, milkshake, and a 6 oz coke) A neon clock for the game room, a coffee table car book and another car magazine subscription. But the thing I'm most proud of both my parents are still here both in their mid 70's now. They came by and spent the day with us. All three daughters were here with their boyfriends and/or husband. Very nice Christmas!

I got a floor jack and jack stands, a whole bunch of tools, almost enough $$ to buy the fiberglass doors for my 55, and an air hockey table and electronic dart board for my car room downstairs (well guess now its a car/game room) lol. And about 2 feet of snow! And the girl friend got a ring on the left hand. Anyone know how to convince your girlfriend to let ya drive an old primer black 55' Chevy gasser away from the front of the church? Hope everyone else had a good holiday too! Mark

Congrats Mark on the engagement. Thats pretty cool. If driving away from the church in your 55 is the only thing in the whole planning of the wedding that you care about, I don't see how she could say no. Everything else is going to be done her way and you just want this one little thing. I'm sure she'll go for it. Have a few other hot rods for the rest of the wedding party too. Best Wishes
