MY 48 Chev came tankless, but I may be able to get one from about a 1952 Chev. Does anyone know what years of fuel tanks will fit in a 48 Chev Fleetline?
Thanks in advance

41 to 48 fit. Get a Tanks Inc tank, about $200, they even make a bigger than stock one.

Anyone can restore an old car, it takes a man to cut one up.

I know I said it 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times before...I swear by 'em..Boat US (boating store) cruise on down with your measurements in hand, tell 'em ya wanna look at the polypropelene (plastic) marine tanks, give 'em your measurements and if they dont have something close within hand reach they can order it to fit. I did this with my '48 Panel (sold last summer) and never had a problem one to speak of. Super strong heavy duty plastic...I beat the bejeezes out of it with a hammer just to test and see with a demo one the local store had out and what I beat in popped right back out in less than 5 minutes, no cracks or anything to speak of.
Cheap too...never laid out more than $400 for the tank, straps, gas line, and sending unit combined

Yea but my 33 Coupe is more of a canoe, Now my 71 GP, thats a boat. Of course I am a Marine so I guess it wouldnt make much differance.

Hi,
I just joined up on this message board tonight. I have a tank that fits a '51 Chevy or Pontiac Streamliner.
I believe your tank may be the same.
I was planning on just selling it since I am using a fuel cell in my trunk.
Let me know if you are interested. It is in great shape. I can get some digital photos for you if needed.
I am not sure what the shipping would be like.
