Looking for a book...

Does anyone know of a book on building Muncie 4 speeds? I have been searching and can't find anything, I know there has to be one out there. I figure that the spare Muncie I got is worth more together than in pieces in a milk crate, and I need the cash to buy some fiberglass doors for my 55 Chevy. Thanks for any leads or advice in advance, Mark.

Our library in town has quite a few service manuals for all kinds of stuff. You might check yours. A good service manual for '63 - '75 should tell you how.

Here's a couple of sites that might help too http://www.gearzone.net/muncie2.htm http://members.rogers.com/mlvd/muncie_rebuild.htm

The library...Never thought of that! I'll have to get a card too. Then I'll have one more card in my wallet besides my astronaught application card, lol. Thanks for the idea, I'll check it out after Christmas.

There's a guy on the Corvette forum offering a professional video on Muncie rebuilding. Says it's great and includes the big wrench you need for the front nut. Here's his e-mail

Go to ecklers.com. They specialize in Corvette parts but they sell a video on rebuilding the Muncie 4 speed.
