Im using a 1959 Ford 9in. rearend for a 47 Ford sedan delivery, I have rebuilt the: centerpig with new bearings, seals, and a new 3.50:1 gear.New axle bearings, as well as all new brake components. But, the only problem is, I need to find a source for repo. drums to complete the whole assembly!! The drums are 11x2 with the standard Ford bolt circle. and I have scoured the area, even my ol'faithful parts men who have saved me in the past. with no luck!! Any info on a supplier(even, dare I say it, an offshore brand) would be much appreciated!!!

When I was faced with this a few years ago I could not find drums (new or usable used) for a 59. I found a 65-66 Ford 9" with the same wheel bearing size and took the backing plates off it. New drums were available, reasonable and even better the 65-66 backing plates were equipped with self adjusting brakes.

They are 11 X 2.25 so you gain a little more brake shoe area also. Unfortunately you have a lot of new stuff bought.

Hemmings would be my first stop to find 59 11 x 2's.

A friend found a good used set from a late 50's Ford pickup 11 x 2 drums and redrilled them to car pattern.

Thanks! I checked Currie's website, and they are even $10.00 cheaper than my local parts warehouses for 1960-up drums!!I'll call them tomorrow!!!
