Has any body ever installed hagan hidden hinges or rocky hidden hinges? I am going to install some at the end of the season and want to get the homework out of the way now. going in to a glass 32 ford tudor sedan. The homemade hinges that are in there are junk. Someone told me to get rid of the wood in the body where the hinges and striker are installed and put in steel. Any body have any ideas / thoughts / tips.
Thanks,
Joel

We've put the Rocky Hinge kits into a couple of cars at the shop. They work quite well. I don't know about the Hagen ones.

We have also used Rocky hinges at our shop too. Nice and sturdy hinges. Hagan and Rocky are both good names, Rocky's are the ones I have experiance with. I would also, like your friends, tell you to remove the wood and rebuild the area with steel. Good luck!

Please, keep restoring those cars to stock... So that someday my grandkids will still know what it feels like to cut one up and build a hot rod!

Do you recommend cutting out the glas and building the jam out of steel or just the support? If just the support, what should I use, I have access to 1x2x1/8" wall rectanular tube, or is that too over kill?
