I have decided to sell the '37 Chevy. It would make a GREAT Rod! I bought a '54 Belair to rip apart and rod. I want to go with crate stuff ,disc brakes and a/c of course. I want to get this started very soon. Any ideas? Ed?

Slam it...Air Ride...18's or 20's...crate 350 or for a added punch a 502. Leave the body and interior be. Cool little cruiser!

You could always hop up a 348 and make 'em think, when all they see is your rear bumper and tail lights through the smoke! lol Or go with the crate 350 454 or 502.

Should make a right nice sleeper

I agree, leave the body stone stock and check in with Mark at Street & Performance for a TPI equipt small or big block. My choice would be the BB. talk about sleepers! The car looks solid but it's a too many door to rod. mom's going to the grocery store sleeper is the only way to go, but then again thats only MHO.

What about a little built up small block with nitrous just for grins? You can have a cool cruiser and if you need the hp blast you have it at the touch of a button! Build a beefy bottom with some decent pistons and have fun blowing off some of the "sporty" boys.

i have a friend with a 52 chev sedan. He chopped and sloped the roof, got rid of those unnessecary rear doors, lengthened the front doors, shaved some chrome, added some teeth for the grille, some bullet tail-lights, and flamed paint - looks pretty smooth.

Shave the door handles. Leave everything else stock.
Gotta have skirts. Check ebay.
Polished Tru Spokes W/WWW radials.
Fatman dropped uprights, disc brake kit, & GM rack kit.
Nova, early Camaro "pre 1970" rear, or a Maverick 8".
Crate 330hp 350 w/700R4.
Drive the wheels off it.
Don't listen to these guys that knock moredoors. Dare to be different!

Oh yeah, if it where mine, I'd leave the drivetrain stock, add dual carbs, a split exaust manifold, and run straight pipes out the back.

My bud is running a 235/5 speed in his 36 sedan.
Gives the ricers a run for their money in the mpg department!
