i am getting a zz502 big block and was wondering what fuel pump i should use. My boys are telling me 170+gph at 8psi but some shops are saying way more gph and a higher PSI... any suggestions?

It depends on what you are going to use for fuel delivery. You can go with big volume/ high pressure but you will eventually end up with a regulator and 8lbs unless you're going full tilt boogie race machine. What's your plan?

Use a Holley red fuel pump, That is what I used on mine. No regulator needed
