35 Chevy Frame Brackets

There are two brackets on the outside of the frame rails on my 35 standard frame. This sounds kind of dumb, but are those for bolting the body to the frame? Here's a pic...

Not too sure, but it's either body or running board brace brackets by the looks of it. Again, not 100%

I thought that the running board brackets were longer....I don't know though.

If in fact thats the running board BRACE brackets, the braces bolt to those and the running boards are bolted to the braces once the body and all four fenders go on. Then again might be body mounts.

Lance? Where ya at my man! A little assistance here...

That's an old picture....I finished boxing the frame tonight!!! We'll see how this old frame holds up. I spent so much time fixing that old piece of rusty junk!

I remember when I first posted on this site, a few people said to buy a new frame. That definitely would have saved me a lot of nasty work, but I didn't have to spend thousands and the frame is straight and with the extra steel that I welded in it should be strong.

On my 36's there is one more forward. Wood, about a 2x6 sits on top of them, then the body sits on the wood.

Yes that is a body mount, but there is wood that goes between it and the body.

On my 34 chevy sedan it was the body mounts. The runningboard brackets come down the rail and bend outward to form an L shape and the boards set on top of them.
