chrome

I am working an 81 GMC Caballero and have it ready to put the chrome back on. Most all of my clips were old and not good enough to reuse. Is there a place that any of you know about that sells attachment clips for older cars. There are a lot of these clips and the only ones I've found are extremely expensive. I may have to bite the bullet, but here's hoping you guys can help. Thanks

Trt going down to a local self service wrecking yard and pulling the chrome off of similar year cars, you,ll probably find similar clips and can buy them at a fraction of the new cost

Didn't even thiink about that. It might just be the ticket. There are a few around this part of Louisiana that will let you go in and pull your own parts. Thanks for the idea. Hope you have a great day.

This place has really old stuff. Don't know if they carry stuff that new, but, give them a try. They are very knowledgable, I bought all of my stuff there.

Two Guys Garage did a build up on a Caballero (ElCamino) a while back and they mentioned a company that sells Chrome, but for the life of me cant remember the name.

Might want to ask those on www.ChevyTalk.com From what I hear, really knowledgeable bunch of Bowtie Boys over that way.
