Hi all I used to proudly display a button on my mainpage showing Chevadoracing's affilliation with streetrod stuff I have just removed it due to the recent pissin and moanin that has been going on around here I feel I can no longer display the button as it may reflect badly on our race team this place has become an international romper room of late and there are some people that really need to grow up. I myself got drug over the coals or whipped with a wet noodle as it was put for posting a joke in the wrong place. Oh well so be it I myself don't give a hoot about the blonde cowboy thread it has grown so large it needs to be its own forum and have its own archives to find anything. Besides we need to save the valuable thread space for important stuff like telling someone to get off the internet so that you can call them. GEEZ!

Bill, was this post yours?
As a lot of you know I am partners in the Chevado Racing '55 Nomad Wheelstander with a man named Gary Kleckner. Gary has been Diagnosed with a non fatal but incurable disease which in its self is bad enough But the real problem is the depression thats set in recently has got him so down that he doesn't want to do anything this is not good. Gary is one of the finest most upstanding men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I could use some help to get him out of this funk. he has been to the Doctor and been prescribed the usual feel better stuff hope it works soon. In the mean time anyone who would like to wish him well or try to cheer him up you can contact him directly at Chevado@Yahoo.com

Now to another problem Gary is no longer phsically able to do much work on Chevado and myself and the rest of the yeam members are too far away to go help on a regular basis. So here is where I need some help If any of you Gearheads at SRS live in the Prescott Chino Vally area of Arizona and would like to get involved in the Chevado race team Please contact me at WAWILSON@prodigy.net and I will fill you in on what is needed and the requirements on what it takes to be a part of Chevado Racing.
Chevado Racing is not just a fly by night race team that is out for a few kicks on the weekends We are a professional Race team that has been around doing shows for all to enjoy for 35 years.
If any of you are not familiar wiyh our car or team we do have website at: Did the people here help you out?

Hi Mike,
Yes that is my post and yes some members of SRS did respond with a positive effect. I don't know who or how many and I believe HRLC was probably one of those who did respond and I later posted a public thank you to all those involved as I had no idea and still don't who they were I thank them again. As for the help with turning wrenches not one response which is all well and good Its a busy world and people just don't have time. They missed out on a chance of a lifetime thats just my personal opinion. I wasn't asking for money just some labor we have sponsors for the money part and we are getting the job done with the same old crew we have always had its just taking a little longer. I'm leaving later this morning to go down and do a few days of work on Chevado Thats all I can spare at the moment I have a company to run. And thats all I asked for was someone with some spare time they needed to fill.
as far as removing the button I feel the behavior of some of the people on this site is not good for the image of our race team our sponsors business' or any prospective sponsors for that matter Its not good for SRS and quite frankly I'm suprised Jason and Dick have allowed it to continue. Grown people acting like a bunch of two year olds is not good for business. and I'm not saying that I'm taking my toys and running home I feel there is a wealth of information on this site and plan on staying.BTW the way thanks for the tips on how to clean up those crusty old valve covers the 1200 sandpaper and then polishing seems to be working the best for me. I'm just tired of logging on and seeing people blast each other in the puplic eye ( and now I feel guilty of starting one of those inappropiate dialogs that really has no value to to the rodding community)I apologize and I'll shut up now

Mike, did you look in the members search and see if any members are in Arizona? Just a thought.

I'm sorry I should have put the post above in Quotations. It was from a post in the archives.
