Anyone have suggestions on where to stay for the Knoxville NSRA show?? I've been but never stayed over...

I stay in Cherokee at the Elcomino motel next Harras because sometimes it it hard to find a room near the park.You can leave early am and drive and get a fairly good parking place unless you are registered and then you don't have to worry about all this stuff, o well thought i would try LOL ........Johnny

Johnny is on the mark here. I like staying in Pigeon Forge because of the availability of rooms and other things to do at night besides sit in a parking lot and look at each other. It's about a 45 minute drive in the morning from the heart of PF. Just enough to get coffee and whatever down on the way. Try it, you will like it.

Otherwise, there are hotels galore in Knoxville.

Call the Pigeon Forge Convention/Visitors Bureau.

Also, the Muscle car museum is a must visit in Sevierville along with some moonshine stops!

We stay in Loudon, about 40 min. to Knoxville. Do it cause its quiet and good BBQ place. I always thought we were the only ones who didn't stay as close as possible to these events. For the Nats. we always go to Indiana.

We stay at Pigeon Forge, too. My wife can't handle three days at the show, so she takes the trolley shopping and has a blast. Lots of good places to eat there, too.

My wife and I also stay in Pigeon Forge. We stay at the same motel that we stay at for the Shades of the Past event. A lot of other event partcipants must also stay in Pigeon Forge because we see lots of pre-49 vechicles out and about. My wife rides the trolley on Saturday and shops. On Sunday, we take the 30 or so mile trip over the mountains to Cherokee and view the Great Smokey Mountains and eat lunch at Granny's Restaurant in Cherokee.
