corvette valve covers

I have a set of aluminum valve finned valve covers.i think they are from the early 60s??I cant use them on the motor im building for my 54 chevy truck.does anyone know if they are worth anything

they are worth what ever you can get like all hot rod parts...... i bought a beautiful set of finned cal customs at a swap meet for 20.
swap stuff would be a good place to sell them.

The early valve covers have staggered bolt holes. They will only work on 58 or older heads. If you have newer model heads then you will have a problem.

If I remember correctly, 7 fins were HO/2x4s - and 9 fins were on a Fuelie. Anyone remember this or was the 7 - 9 the difference in chrome across the back of a Le Mans and a real GTO (64/65).

If the holes are straight across and they dont have a line across the "O", they're earlier than about '66 and have more value to a 'Vette restore project. The line is from a crack in the mold and there's loads of them around as they were widely sold over the counter as replacements.

I took these off a 283 awhile back and put them up and havent looked at them since. im going to get them out in the morning and look at them.someone has painted them blue.
I stripped of most of the paint but its been so long that i forgot about them didnt know if the were worth anything or not
