Here's an updated photo of Rudy's 32 that we're all meeting at. I'll continue to add photos here over the weekend and after the end of the show pick out the best 40 or so to send to Jason to make an album. Once again, there is some outstanding quality Rods and Kustoms.

This photo does not do this rod justice. The lites weren't fully on yet. It was built by Barry Lobecks shop and is a Ridler contender.

In regard to the photo of the copper colored 3 window coupe. The build/information board listed this car as a '34 Mercury coupe. Ford didn't come out with the Merc until '39 and Chevy had a Mercury as one of their models in '34. The car is Chevy powered and is definetly a Ford. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Gus,
It was a pleasure meeting you, Denise, Enjenjo and Fat Cat and I'm sorry I missed Slick, Studeboy, George and the others. Hopefully, we'll get together at the Spring SRS meeting in Mansfield.

The show was great. Cleveland's Autorama doesn't hold a candle to Detroit's.

Thanks to you and Denise for taking the time to share the show with us!Had intended to be there in person, may have been a blessing that I couldn't make it with the weather. The bright side is that I got the 36 Coupe totally assembled this weekend!Denise,Perhaps you need to be a little nicer to Santa :>)Sure would have been hard for me to pick the winner between the "34 Merc" and the Blue Coupe"Storm"!

Glad everyone here enjoyed the photos. Had lots of fun taking them. Seems like the quality of the cars just gets better and better each year. Unlike last year, it was not a clear cut case of which rod was going to run away with the Ridler Award. Every single one of them was a work of art and well deserving of the nomination.

We sure had a great time seeing and hanging out with many SRS, RRT and HAMB friends. Looking forward to the next get together. It sure can't come soon enough for my taste.

Denise, Don't know if anybody else has said this or not, I haven't read all the posts. But I'm sure if you ever want to give up that women's clothing thing, there'd be a job waiting for you at any of the car magazines as a full time photographer. 'Course you'd have to travel to all the shows on a big expense account, but you could get used to that with a little practice. Just a thought...

Great pictures, thanks. See ya' this summer.

I received no response to my inquiry into the "34 Mercury" that was posted earlier. But I am sure the question will be answered in all the magazines in the next few months.

The 1934 Mercury won the Riddler award.

I'm curious about that too. They say Chevy made a Mercury in '34 but the car looks like a '34 Ford to me.

Chevy's Mercury model was 1933. 1934 went to standard and master.
Beautiful car.
