Do any of you guys build 1:25 scale model kits or collect hotwheels cars or anything?

My Dad makes the most awesome replicas of cars in our club. Once i get some pics of them on the net i will show you...

in the meantime tho i found this page where a guy has customised hotwheels cars - its incredible!!

http://www.rpm-art.com/new_page_1.htm

Christo, Many on this board build model cars. Some build them out of the box and many customize them. Alan

i have a go at building them..it looks a lot easier in the instruction booklet though! i cant seem to build mine straight out of the box. The first one i built(a 1949 Ford F1) looked pretty corny the way they want you to build it. i sort of taken the spring out of it and now it sits a lot better.(on the ground) I took the Ardun Flathead out for another project('34 roadster) and placed a 350 chev with chrome dress up gear. Look real good in gloss black with red steelies and WWW with a white firewall. My current project is a 1948 ford woody, which is a really good kit if you build it by the box, although it is stock. My modifications are steelies and WWW from 28 roadster pickup, 9" rear from 1934 roadster, stock flatty with three carbs. I had a go at two-dooring it by removing the two rear pillars and smoothing away the door. looks pretty good for an amateur. i still have plenty of models in the closet that i want to do up.

I've got hundreds (literally) of 1:24 and 25 scale models finished and unfinished...used to build them pretty regular, but now that I got my hands in other pots, they just sit in the corner and wait their turn.
